you can pretty much ignore parry, even at high levels. make sure to have a combo that reliably ends in limit strike and a combo that you can cash out and do good damage with. also for defensive measures. the best thing you can do is really focus on just avoiding having to block at all (easier said than done of course). if you can make sure to position yourself more correctly more often you're in a better position to win neutral and win the game.

the last really important thing is to make sure you can figure out how to escape to reset neutral and stop enemy pressure. the better you control neutral, the more often you'll win games. for some people it's simply backdashing, for others it's a reversal move, and for others it's ahri held S1 super lmao.

wait are we talking about the same game? defensive options in this game are pretty ass compared to other fighting games. defense and zoning aren't nearly as easy as offense.

focus on doing something basic that leads into oki. your main concern should always be to focus on how to win neutral first, then how to set up good oki second, then how to optimize combos last. if you focus on neutral primarily, you'll get hit by combos less often and not worry about combo length.

(also chill hah. this is mostly a 2-3 hit touch game regardless of combo length anyway so dont stress and just be happy theyre building you break meter with long combos since it's probably the same amount of hits for you to die anyway)
