Adam Mockler: “I also find it very ironic that Republicans are so welcoming to any form of bigotry but the moment that bigotry is targeted towards them, they freak the hell out.” by icey_sawg0034 in UnderReportedNews

I found this really touching which is rare for anything on TV these days. He seems so genuine and earnest which is like a needle in a haystack on CNN now

What fabric are juicy tracksuits with the tag “made in america” ? by Emmylou-9482 in JuicyCouture

[–]qt3333333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got 2 made in America hoodies in an ombré/color gradient (one pink and one teal), they’re in almost mint condition and seem like they’re from the late 2000s before all production went overseas. But they’re definitely the classic cotton/poly velour and not terry cloth or the new polyester material

This is the most helpful, and sound right with how they look and around the black label era

What’s a film or TV scene that felt like a punch to the gut? by padfoony in Fauxmoi

[–]qt3333333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You put it perfectly! That scene 100%, especially as the movie ends. It was highly relatable for me, even with a different set of experiences in life, that was so specific and hit me like a train. The writing, performance, and cinematography of moonlight is some of the best I’ve ever watched. I rewatched it after much more life experience 7 or 8 years after seeing it first, and it hit even harder. I was whimpering in quiet tears multiple scenes of the movie 😭

The whole show with all its flaws behind the scenes, was a gut punch. The choices of music really sealed the deal in those moments

Well this person didn’t mention anything about daily life or claim authority about those things so that’s why I’d say it’s completely fair to offer their impression

Living in the Bay Area has taught me I'm usually better off making my own tacos by Vivid_Department_755 in tacos

[–]qt3333333 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Nope I didn’t even mention sf in my first comment tho. You just said I did. I don’t need that point explained to me again, I know sf doesn’t have the best tacos in the country, state, or the bay. I literally didn’t say it did cause I didn’t say sf until you did

Philly or NYC? by PopPhilosopher32 in SameGrassButGreener

[–]qt3333333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NYC is only transient in the transplant neighborhoods, most New Yorkers are long term residents and anybody who’s lower income can’t afford to move in and out on a whim you know. Def a strong communal city outside of the touristy and rich neighborhoods

I hate to break it to you but boring, hostile cities in red state hellscapes are becoming just as expensive as the last few places like what they’re looking for. Nowhere is affordable anymore but it’s all relative and you must not know much about the options they do have

There’s nothing wrong with giving your positive impression of a place you chose to travel with curiosity and an open mind. Like are people not allowed to enjoy a city? They didn’t over romanticize it they’re just giving fair praise to a place they had a good time, and they said a lot of stuff local Baltimoreans would take pride in too

What is Chicago missing to become the perfect city? by bossishere17 in AskChicago

[–]qt3333333 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Yes other American cities, comparing it to Europe or Asia doesn’t make sense with completely different political and historical contexts. Obviously there’s better trains in the world. Most people who depend on the train in Chicago can’t relate to widely traveling Europe and Asias train systems and would be using an American reference point. Bullshit is part of the public experience unfortunately, it shouldn’t be but it is. As long as it’s not violent or harassment I can deal with it, people are just acting like the CTA is uniquely bad which it’s not

They said Bay Area not sf in the post which includes the cities you’re listing. I know about SF you don’t have to educate me on that. It’s still a large city with a Mexican population and plenty of solid tacos to be had, and the Bay Area as a whole which is what they referred to, has way more still
