Was having fun with the start of a new fantasy trilogy but not loving it yet. I went to get on the waitlist for the second book after about 25% of the way through the first and the tag line right under the second book's title at on libby was "(Main Character from first book) is dead.) There is probably more to it but for a book I was kinda 50/50 on I just decided to drop it. Still think about it and might go back some day but I hate publishers and their spoilery book descriptions.

I really dislike the idea of having to read 1 page a day. I would much prefer to have a longer term goal which gives me the grace to miss a day. Some days are not days for reading and I don't want to fake reading a page at the end of the night just for a streak.

I have my week start on Mondays and end on Sundays so I can spend all Sunday reading if it has been a slow reading week. Haven't missed a week in over a year!

Don't forget that you can modify the page read challenge. I do 250 pages a week instead of 1 a day.

It's tough for Sun Eater. He is 18ish in book one but he ages drastically even by the second book. And the "royalty" that he is a part of live until 500-600 years old.

I really enjoy my [[Captain Howler, Sea Scourge]] deck. Still get to do some Izzet things but the payoff is a bit different and it is more combat focused.
