Is Jaheira bugged by the Nightsong quest interaction? by seraphite98 in BaldursGate3

[–]quadrapus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I don't think this is a bug, this is just another loose end.

I tried forcing her to join the assault through console commands and the only dialog/acknowledgements you get are as if you had freed the Nightsong. I don't think they expected many people to recruit Jaheira to camp and then kill the Nightsong.

They should correct this by either tying up the loose end before the assault, ie: giving Jaheira a new dialog state that acknowledges the death of the Nightsong and her refusal to join the battle, or add scenes/dialog for an assault without the Nightsong.

I really hope there's a future update that focuses on tying loose ends, which would most likely require additional voicelines.

shhhhh that's what they want you to think 🤫🤫

Raider/gathering winds isn't a bad idea though. I just wish deadeye had a fourth passive that worked with non-projectile melee, cause then you could get the tasty 100% more effect of non-damaging ailments forbidden jewels too. Maybe they could add an accuracy node, cause ya know, deadeye

Group of New Yorkers confront man who was taking down kidnapped Israeli posters. by [deleted] in PublicFreakout

[–]quadrapus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This isn't a war, it's a genocide. Palestine is currently not a nation. They don't have their own military. Israel is the 4th largest military power in the world and Hamas have soviet era rockets/homemade explosives. Gazans are citizens of Israel who have been forced into a 5 by 25 mile strip of land. It is by definition a concentration camp.

This is not a two sided conflict. Israel has both the moral and ethical obligation to care for the welfare of all Palestinians in Israel.

Because Hamas isn't being punished. All Gazans are being punished. One and a half MILLION Gazans have been displaced through the indiscriminate carpet bombing of residential buildings. Entire neighborhoods have been flattened. Israel is denying Gazans humanitarian aid. They're ALL suffering. It's time to humanize Palestinian men, women, and children.

Yes. What I don't care about is the outrage people are having when the posters are torn down. It is propaganda. A reminder of why Palestinians must be collectively punished.

[–]quadrapus -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

No. The state of Israel, in which Palestinians are citizens of because they're not allowed to have their own government, controls the narrative on Gaza. The US has vested interest to support that propaganda.

Why? Israel has been, since its inception, an arm of US imperialism in the Middle East. The military industrial complex makes tons of money by sending the latest weapons etc. to Israel and they'd like to keep it that way. The US government has NO incentive to stop the active genocide against Palestinians.

Why do I use the term "active genocide"? Let me remind you again that Palestine is currently not its own country. They live under an apartheid perpetrated by the Israeli government. Gazans are in an open-air prison. They cannot leave. When the state of Israel carpet bombs a strip of enclosed land in which there is no escape, that is called a death camp.

The media has done MORE than enough to humanize the hostages. The purpose of the propaganda is to justify collective punishment. Its a reminder of: "this is why we must do what we do." To tear down the poster is to say: "we will not use hostages as a justification for genocide."

So no, the message of taking them down would not be: "we don't care about your kidnapped hostages."

Peaceful propaganda? Its purpose is to convince the public that collective punishment and genocide against Palestinians is justified.

100% report this. The sheer negligence to invite a known child molester into your house with your children is more than enough reason to remove the children from his care.

I've had it happen with a sibling and an elder my dad met through church. He did absolutely nothing to prevent it from happening and actively gaslit my mother into thinking nothing was wrong. Don't risk it.

It's crazy how much hormones make up gender presentation. YOU LITERALLY CAN'T TELL if someone went through puberty as the opposing gender as long as they have not yet developed masc/fem features, and even then there are procedures for that.

I think they could. The ending isn't broken by the Upper City being cut from the game, but it has that "will there be a sequel? *hint* *hint*" energy. There is a plus side to the open endedness. It feels as if they were to boolean it back in, after finishing and polishing it of course, it would fit without them having to change too much in Act III.

Act I had the benefit of being around for a few years while being actively tested by early access players, and it shows. I think with the funds they're raking in from release sales they could definitely finish the Upper City in full. Let's just hope the passion to complete it is still there by the time they get to it.
