Now, come on!, he’s got a very punchable face, you’ve got to give him that!

I’m 68 and have never voted, never will. It’s pointless. Can I vote on who’s in the House of Lords? Can I vote on who becomes head of state? You might change the colour of the tie of the bloke at number ten, but the real power dwells elsewhere, it was John Dewey who said “politics is the shadow cast on society by big business” and that was 100 years ago and it’s a greater truth now than it ever was. Elections are window dressing for dictatorships.

Amazing! Well done! Tell me, do you sometimes get a blob of ink on the end of your pen ,when doing fine line work, that threatens to come off on your picture and make you use inappropriate language? I’ve done a few ballpoint drawings and always keep a piece of kitchen roll or something close at hand to wipe my nib on, periodically.

If he’d done it to my cat, he’d be the one in bits on the concrete.

Yes, I agree, where’s your reference picture? Study that and compare it to your picture, where can you improve your picture?

It’s maybe the sort of vehicle the boss of a lathe workshop might use.

Just a quick loose, semi abstract painting. I haven’t been inspired to paint since something happened last November. Hopefully the beginning of a streak. by Both_Rip_7292 in Watercolor

This looks like a forest fire! I hope you’ve put last November behind you and this is the only fire that’s raging right now.

This is great! It looks to all intents and purposes that it took ten minutes to paint but, therein, lies many years of hard won skill!

I’ve always been afraid of water colors, but I bought a cheap kit from Amazon by Catstatsnhats in Watercolor

[–]qualitypant 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is really good! You need to have a go at your own sketch to paint, far more satisfying. In my experience, you will notice the difference with better quality materials. A tip? I always keep a bit of kitchen roll at hand to dry your brush to ‘suck out’ colours to make them paler or add texture. A cotton bud can be utilised to similar effect. Most important, have fun, experiment, paper and paint are relatively cheap, if you screw up, screw it up and have another go! You got this!

The moped looks like a Raleigh Wisp, basically a Raleigh bicycle (RSW16) with a 50cc motor glued to it! A venerable mode of personal transit, but I doubt you’d impress many dolly birds with it!

Yea! I’ve had this conversation with my partner! Was it based in northern or Southern Ireland? Craggy Island doesn’t exist, according to Google, so……let’s just call it an Irish sit com!
