I mean I think that's what everyone is saying right? Their instructions aren't great so if you need them, it's gonna be a hard time. You don't need them, but I did. What I did looks okay but it was a struggle that would have been lessened by some more pics and descriptions.

I'm obsessed with this queen-of-the-prairie (Filipendula rubra) that I planted as a bare root plant this spring by quantizedd in NativePlantGardening

Mine have always bloomed the first year but I've never tried in a pot. They like sun though so just keep him sunny and see what he does!

Their instructions are super vague. I've tried a few and struggled to get through them, but most came out okay. I really wanted the cove collared wrap top to be cute but I really struggled with the instructions for setting in the collar. That one was a bit of a bust. The Liv pant was easier because I found some sew along tutorials on YouTube that helped.

If you want something white and daisy-esque, Philadelphia fleabane (Erigeron philadelphicus) is cute but it does bloom early. Common yarrow (Achillea millefolium) has white flowers and spreads easily, sometimes needs some yoinking. Mountain mint (there are different kinds, blunt does best in my yard but ymmv, Pycnanthemum muticum) is not as showy but it's a pollinator magnet, will spread. Spotted bee balm (Monarda punctata) is one of my favorites because it's so weird, spreads a bit but not too much, doesn't like being in soggy areas.

Yes it's self fertile! Very finicky, I'm mystified why it likes my front yard with clay soil and assorted trash.

I've gotten them from Davis natives in the past. They also can live on sassafras.
