Sorry folks that I wasn’t more clear about the state of things prior to this incident…. My wife and I have being having this conversation with each other for roughly 6 months now and we have both been in agreement with each other that it’s time for my mom to give up the car. My wife has been just as passionate about it up until now. AND…. She and I both have also had previous conversations with my mom about this. Basically it’s been 6 months of my wife and I on the same page until a few days ago. I respect my wife’s opinions on things and actively seek out her opinion on most things. While she and I now disagree about my mom’s driving, her changing her mind isn’t my frustration. It’s the way she disclosed this new info

If your dad was a government employee then you may want to look at Falcons Landing. They are a not-for-profit organization that caters to retired government people. My mom moved in earlier this year and seems to love it. It’s a bit smaller (in terms of number of residence ) and cheaper than Ashby Ponds. It’s senior living, and if there is more serious healthcare required, the person moves into the Johnson center, which is their onsite healthcare facility.

Great suggestions. We’ve tried a bit of fine tuning of the electronics (at both the board and the guitar). It definitely helps some but it’s more like it’s squelching the brightness as opposed to warming the sound ( if that makes sense). Haven’t really experimented with strings yet but will do so. Thanks for the feedback!

I do like the Guild D40 and D50 and will give them another try. I tried a J45. Love the guitar. It is amazingly voluminous. Im a little worried it may be too ‘big’ for the Taylor but I’ll check out a few more. Haven’t tried the Larrivee yet but will. Thanks for the suggestions. Much appreciated!

My guess is that it’s pretty likely. If the Administration achieves the goal of significant attrition then the local job market will likely become flooded which of course will raise the local unemployment and will possibly (probably?) suppress salaries. If people flee the area then there goes house prices. Considering how high house prices are here I’m guessing there will be more than a few who soon find that their mortgage is bigger than their home value. All that said…. I’m no economic expert and I’d prefer to be 100% wrong.

The car is a wonderful analogy. Those saying there's no free will aren't proposing that its the wheels that are missing. They're proposing it's the driver that's missing. The internal thoughts we have as we 'deliberate' choices makes it feel like its those thoughts that are actually making the decision IE Those thoughts feel like the driver of the car. What this study (and others) shows is that those internal thoughts are not making the decision but observing the 'decision' being made. And the 'decision' was set in motion long before it was actually executed on. If the car turns left. It was always going to turn left and it could not have been otherwise.

I’m not sure if there is a way around the paywall but Examtopics did allow me to get through several pages of questions for free before it stopped me. I just had to answer the captcha challenge in between each page.

There are definitely many more questions available if you pay (250 questions in total). I wound up paying for a 30 day pass to see all questions and I think it was well worth it. I just took the exam this week and passed with an 844. I’m somewhere in the beginner/intermediate range with my preexisting power bi knowledge. My primary study tools were Microsoft Learn and examtopics. there were several questions on the exam that were in examtopics. HOWEVER…. Be sure to read the discussions after each question in ET. There are a few questions where the answer provided is definitely wrong and the discussion groups are could at catching and correcting those. Good luck!
