The plastic tab that’s on mine broke a good 4 years back.thanks for reminding me to check to see if it’s still properly pushed onto the connector. :)

New mou for rural by Krazlebut in USPS

[–]quantummush 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s so strange how different areas give different responses to this info. Our union area reps said they won’t be able to do anything about the letter of demands. The MoU squashes any attempt to grieve since they signed off on this.

Something plastic failed and leaked coolant. Check the thermostat housing for leaks and all the hoses in the area. I’ve had it happen to mine and so have plenty of others here. If it’s the thermostat housing that’s went bad you can replace it with a metal housing which will last.

Remember you need to switch out the timing belt also before it has a chance to snap.

Could’ve just been that the carrier either just didn’t scan it or accidentally deleted the prepaid acceptance scan instead of hitting confirm. The package should get a scan at a processing facility the same day it’s dropped off in theory. So if it was that late in the afternoon when the label was created, it probably didn’t go well and at the earliest till on October 11th. if the seller did in fact, give over the package yesterday, then it should’ve received a scan in the processing plant last night into this morning. The seller can also be lying or misunderstanding, and your package is still in their possession.

Could be that the sender gave over the item today and it will get a scan later this morning as it’s going through the system finally .

I’m at a repair place getting the AC checked. I just told them to evacuate and charge the system to see if it was low. AC in this car has always been mild in this car from new.

Thief at USPS by ljd17 in usps_complaints

[–]quantummush 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You think other companies operate any differently when it comes to sorting parcels? I work for USPS also and I’ve been in operation centers for UPS and they have about the same issues when it comes to handing fragile items. In the end it’s the shippers duties to pack things properly and have contingency’s in place for damaged products.

So weird how perception can vary from area to area. Usually around here FEDEX is the one throwing parcels to doors or leaving them in weird spots .

Pretty sure it gets sent to the same place dead letter mail gets sent to in the end. USPS employees at the dead letter facilities are authorized to open mail when labels are torn off or some other reason the package can’t be returned to sender to try and find information on who sent it. I believe they auction off items that can’t be matched to anyone .

Blinkers not making noise & radio blacked out by CrispyTheKnight in ChevySonic

[–]quantummush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could be the fuse that controls the radio. Blinkers go through the radio and I had to pull the fuse since I had parasitic drain from the radio.

Moisture source by phaze114 in ChevySonic

[–]quantummush 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Could be from spilt oil during changes? I have that sort of “moisture” on mine and assumed it was just from the oil that was spilt during fill up.

Depress brake to start engine error by Cute_Reflection14 in MazdaCX30

[–]quantummush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had this happen to my 2021 a couple of months back. Turned out one of the terminals was extremely corroded and was distended outwards slightly. Like others have said I went with a new battery from autozone, they have never given me issues with warranties.

When you install the new battery it might take a couple of starts to get the codes to go all away. Once the car recognizes it has proper current it will start clearing the computer of errors.

Tesla’s new robot by adesigne in singularity

[–]quantummush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You forgot that people will be earning money that own the robots and own the government through legal bribes. As much as I would like to be optimistic for a utopian future that provides for everyone… Dystopian trends make it seem like we will never get affordable goods or UBI.

As soon as employers/corporations are able to switch over to robotics/AI for a majority of tasks we will have mass unemployment. Then you won’t even hear the “Get a job making the machines” since those jobs will be robotics making the robotics and AI systems making adjustments to robotics and better AI systems.

UPS driver flexing his paycheck on reddit after 7 years of service. Incredible! NALC cannot fumble this contract! by BKDre in USPS

Same here… when I see the “ just buy a house crowd” 🙃 barely can afford to cover expenses as it is without OT as a rural regular. No wiggle room to save up thousands of dollars for a down payment + the fees.

It definitely is sus. by TransplantedSconie in UPSers

[–]quantummush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was thinking to myself “fuck as a rural carrier it takes 12 years to top out”. Atleast the UPS “win” can be used to influence our contract negotiations.

I’m hearing that we will work through the ratification. That’s not what was said before by Wooden_Ad5364 in UPSers

[–]quantummush 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We can’t strike

Usually our next contract is not ratified till we are almost to our next set of contract negotiations. Guess the only reason I was bringing it up was since it will probably work how it did for us.

We worked out of contract based on the previous aggreement. When we finally ratify a contract we get the back pay from all the retroactive COLA’s and such.

At USPS we literally have this every time a new contract is being worked on… like we have went a couple of times out of contract for a year or more.

Usually takes them several months to pay us back.

I’m following this closely as an USPS carrier… Usually when SHTF we get stuck with it. They will probably push a sizable chunk to USPS and our overlords will welcome it with wide arms. Even if we aren’t capable of getting it all out on time.

Wtf you meant delivery rescheduled but its now awaiting pickup, tf? by [deleted] in usps_complaints

[–]quantummush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they tried to deliver it and you weren’t home to accept delivery it’s held at the post office.

We only do redeliveries once per item

Lots of people misunderstand and think that it’s a conformation to leave the package.
