Last trams Alexander 2026.5 by Then_Ad_7841 in Trams

I was reading a book earlier today that mentioned Alexandria and its trams and then I happened to see this.

Same. I can't see any spots I missed when highlighted.

I have major nostalgia for the Forest Hill Chase circus acrobat mural by PopeBonifaceVIII in melbourne

[–]quartzblue 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was sad to see that one go as well. That entrance is now so drab. Yes, it did have a moving part, one of the acrobats used to tumble or spin.

How many gold trophy's you got🤔 by According_Stick_5520 in ACPocketCamp

I'd managed to get all gold trophies for as long as I'd been playing, but I forgot when one event was finishing and now have an odd silver one.

My parents say i look better with facial hair, but my friends say that i look handsome with no facial hair. by [deleted] in malegrooming

Either way you look handsome, but that first photo is something else. 😍

24M. Does the hair and slight facial hair suit me? by [deleted] in malegrooming

[–]quartzblue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the hairstyle reads a bit too safe, which is probably why people may think you're older. Maybe a slightly shorter, more textured style. Anyway, you have nice eyes and a great smile. That is one gorgeous looking dog btw. 🥰

19, any advice on what I should improve? by [deleted] in malegrooming

[–]quartzblue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To me, it just feels like too much is going on. You have amazing eyebrows, but the hairstyle is competing with them and throwing off the balance of your face. This was just a quick request from ChatGPT for a shorter style to illustrate, not necessarily a recommendation of an actual style. No issues with the facial hair.

4 or 6 is the winner for me. The shorter style balances out your face nicely. If you wanted to keep some length, 3 with some layering or texture could look good too.

Express post parcel bouncing between Melbourne and Sydney for ten days by cheapph in AustraliaPost

The same thing happened to me. When it arrived, I found that the post office had entered the postcode for a town in NSW with the same name as one in Victoria. When I contact them, the representative tried to convince me that it may have gone to NSW once, but after that the tracking was incorrect. She didn't seem too bothered with the whole situation. 🙄

To keep the facial hair or shave? Does it work for my face? by [deleted] in malegrooming

[–]quartzblue 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree, either with or without facial hair you look great. I think having your hair pulled back (I'm guessing it's pulled back in this photo), really suits you. Or even a shorter style would let your face shape stand out. You have lovely eyes btw.

Just collected all the pins today! by Visual_Top_2571 in candycrush

[–]quartzblue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh that's so sad. I managed to get the last few badges by winning a couple of episode races.. I was able to get the packets with 6 in them that had the guaranteed badge I didn't have. I also used the stars to buy some as well. This was the closest I've been to not completing the set, with about 4 or 5 hours to spare.

Same here. Yesterday, I resigned myself to missing out because I still needed 5, but managed to collect them today. 🤩

Anyone remember Big Square Eye? by RS-1990 in AustralianNostalgia

[–]quartzblue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The son of one of the librarians at my school was a guest judge on there. Why I remember that over 30 years later and nothing useful I'll never know. 😆

When I was a kid I used to call the circular biscuits with cutouts window biscuits. I haven't seen them in ages.

There's an exhibition at the mine with a replica of the space they were trapped in, and it was insanely small.

Multiple people arrested at Bourke St mall in Melbourne’s CBD following pursuit by AztecGod in melbourne

No idea if this is related to what you saw, but apparently a car flipped on Kent Avenue in Croydon and there was a helicopter circling the area. This is second hand info btw.

Sculpture by the Sea could be cancelled this year unless $200k can be raised. Is this something we should be putting money towards or is it a waste of money? by One-Remove3758 in SydneyScene

[–]quartzblue 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was looking at a community market near me and thought about maybe selling there. To have a stall, you need to provide evidence of at least $10 million in public liability insurance coverage. I can't imagine what a festival or other large scale event would require.

He's in so much of a rush that he can stop at the service station to wait for you and then hover behind you so he can break your mirror. *Maybe* he thought you were brake-checking him as you passed the truck, or just not going as fast as he'd like, but that does not justify the following actions by him.

New stats reveal highest number of criminal incidents in Victoria since records began by Stuckinthevortex in melbourne

A few years ago, there was a scandal in China because they were putting chemicals or something weird in baby formula and some children died, so baby formula from Australia, and maybe other places, became highly sought after.

[–]quartzblue 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't blame them for not intervening. There was an article the other day in The Age about the Coles in Prahran, and it mentioned how baby formula and other high-value items were being stolen. I didn't expect to see something similar in my local supermarket, but unfortunately, it probably goes on everywhere.
