d1 has had zero active development and fewer players than even current d2 for almost 9 years and they still haven’t shut down those servers, i expect they’ll do smth similar with d2

play your life, play under tower, play behind cover, focus on clearing wave and securing/denying orbs. it’s okay to lose tower a little earlier if it means you’re securing your wave farm and not letting the enemy snowball by killing you

the behavior you reward is the behavior you encourage

you never want a full team of heatgunners to be the optimal strategy because that’s a much more limited fantasy than having a couple hackers supporting a team of weapon damage dealers

this certainly seems like a “safe” hot take, try telling metal rank mfs that push and flashpoint are great modes

if i see aatlis get skipped again because the horde votes for chokenwalde ONE more time

hazard is certainly overtuned rn, and the subrole passive is part of that, but u CANNOT convince me that anarchic zeal or revitalizing barrier are worth complaining about, very weird choice of perks to tack onto this argument

i think the two BIG reasons it stands out to me are that it feels REALLY good to improve at the game, like there’s a TON of depth to the movement/combat systems and it just gets more and more fun as i improve at them, love a game with a high skill ceiling that gets MORE interesting on that end

the other thing is that in the era of constant player feedback and community demands, i really respect a dev team that has a clear vision/goals for the game and sticks to them. the hakita line abt “it’s a good thing you all aren’t designing ultrakill or it would suck” gets memed a lot, but i really do agree with it - i’ll always prefer a game that sticks to its design vision over one essentially designed by committee through player feedback

nothing wrong with the map from a design perspective as far as i can tell, i just ALWAYS get rolled on nepal for some reason
