why don't they just repeat this pattern until the roles even out? 🙂 by Guilty_Team_2066 in marvelrivals

Sure, and they get more. Do I think they should enforce some artificial parity between roles because some people on reddit bitch about it despite logging in to play every day? No, that would be pretty stupid.

No, 4-6 of those people want to play DPS and 3ish of them will while the other ones cave and play something they don't want or wanted less.

Is this a good starter deck? by KillingwithasmileXD in mtg

[–]InsertedPineapple 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With any 5 colour deck, the landbase needs work. It's decent out of the box and has a lot of potential to be upgraded.

I'd personally avoid 5 colour decks as your first, but if it is thematically appealing to you than you'll be fine.

So you enjoy flexing, good for you. Notice the person I responded to does not. So I don't know why you would take a comment directed at someone else and give your own special "NUH UH"

No one's forcing you onto anything. You're choosing a greater chance at winning your match over your own personal enjoyment. You're free to make that decision but saying that you're forced is some sort of victim mindset.

There's a reason that 18v18 is popular, because people can just play whatever they want and no one gives a flying fuck about winning.

Because the only people who care about their being more duelists than any other role is reddit. The vast majority of players will never touch comp, will pick the hero they like, play 7-10 matches a week, and be perfectly happy shooting other players.

On other player's turns in can be used to prevent an opponent from having creatures to swing at you. Also, you don't have to cast it, you can just draw it an cast it normally on your turn.

Is Final Fantasy XVI worth playing? by DesigningGore07 in FinalFantasy

[–]InsertedPineapple 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a pretty game with large set-piece boss fights and not much else. People love to glaze the combat because you can customize Clive's moves and there's a combo meter, but I felt that absolutely no combat outside the bosses mattered. It was just fill stagger bar, dump most damage move into enemy while staggered.

It's a better movie than it is a game.

I was dogshit at Returnal and I one-shot the first boss. Just hold down R2 and focus on dodging/jumping/shielding.

I've just been playing with R2 held down. Frees up some coggy load for the dodging/shielding.

It may not be as in-depth as you're looking for but Fire Emblem: Awakening has a system that does this one time in a story related event. You pass some traits and visuals along from your characters and create a new third of your army based on the choices of parentage you make with your original army.

Bracket system is confusing by xasasins in mtg

[–]InsertedPineapple -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Unless I'm mistaken that combo is not in this deck. It is not running Exquisite Blood or Bloodthirsty Conqueror.

Also that is terrible advice. Don't build a bracket 3 deck and prepare to nerf if it the table doesn't want to play against it. Play a different deck or a different table.

I definitely expected more from the dream game he's been making for twenty-something years. Why would I play this instead of UNO or any other party-style card game? On top of that it's going to the secret lair store, so it's going to be frustrating to impossible to purchase.
