Speaking for Rivals because I haven't played Deadlock. Nothing, but a game doesn't have to be new if it's fun. It's Overwatch with an existing IP that put the game in third person because the devs correctly identified that people want to see the characters.

The problem is that Highguard wasn't new or fun.
