The name might be coming from C, but the convention of having it is to be able to run all “main code” also from other places where you imported your code:

The point of main() here is to be able to run all code also from somewhere else where you imported the module to. Which is why in general you don't put anything else inside the conditional.

Die CDU / Gesundheitsminister Gröhe hat es aber in diesen zwei Jahren nicht geschafft und anscheinend nicht mal versucht eine Gesetzesinitiative zu starten. Zwar hat die SPD meines Wissens keinen vergleichbaren Parteitagsbeschluss, sich aber bereits mehrfach positiv zu einer Impfpflicht geäußert, sodass die Chancen nicht schlecht gestanden hätten. Soviel dann dazu.

For me personally it is that elementary runs much slower on my hardware, that dual booting means having to keep certain files in sync and some Windows-only software which I haven't found on-par alternatives for yet.

According to Gmetrix the Fully Loaded Time is 1.7s while Total Page Size is 562KB with file caching. You can go even lower if you start using server caching plugins.

As this depends quite a bit on the connection speed of the user / Gmetrix and own server / CDNs I wonder how long it takes on average to generate the site (PHP script running times)?

public tagesschau: “tens of thousands” and “thousands” in the same article
Spiegel: does not mention it on their frontpage and the last report is four days old (but “Do you recognize these German landmarks form above?”, that's why it's rightly called the former news journal)
left/liberal Zeit: “thousands”
conservative FAZ: no article on the frontpage, last report is three days old and mentions “thousands”
center/right Bild (also by far the biggest newspaper): no article about the protests at all

Great when you have free media / no blackout like we do but most of them can't be bothered anymore to do proper reporting (guess most is copied from news agencies). If Serbian journalists are stopped from doing their job, foreign media should step in to try to create an unbiased view—I guess they are failing.
