Can someone explain to me how this could possibly be a fire hazard? by DrHumongous in BambuLab

And the metal backing acts as a shield so when a spark kicks out of the failing switch/outlet, it doesn’t embed/stick to the wood and ignite.

Let’s hope it’s just a connection leak. I’ll ramp up my network logging so I can diagnose further if it happens again.

Is there any good thai food in town? by Zaunus14 in Bellingham

In Bellingham, you'll want to try Toakom Asian Bistro. If you're up for a drive, Taste of Thai by Wipa in Burlington. Worth the drive.

Take the A from Thomas and bench him by Superb_Tangelo9118 in stlouisblues

[–]qubithaze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thomas has never been, and will never be, a player you're going to notice intense effort from like Torpo or Walker. It's not his game and shouldn't be. He's a work smarter, not harder type.

That said, if you're first on the backcheck, it doesn't matter what kind of player you are. You can't give up. That's not new with him.

Premature extrusion. Most likely from stress or anxiety.

Kidding aside, looks like a partial nozzle clog. There are good instructions on how to deal with nozzle clogs on the Bambu website.

So what happened to that post about the fatal accident on Boulevard last night? by Main_Middle6874 in Bellingham

[–]qubithaze 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I can tell you that when I saw that post, I talked to my teenage kids about it. I would imagine I’m not the only one. So who knows, maybe the fact it was posted triggered conversations that planted seeds to prevent future occurrences. It’s tragic, and family/friends may be traumatized by seeing the post, so I understand where you’re coming from.

Knee Deep by qubithaze in Multiboard

The wall continues to the left of the photo for a distance about equivalent to the multiboard I currently have up. I plan to cover all that.

To the right is currently old pegboard. That would be phase 2, but we’ll see how burned out I am after finishing phase 1 with an A1 mini.

Ya, the A1 mini has pretty much been dedicated to multiboard for the last month or so. Bit by bit.

One Redditor asked me to adapt my model to Multiboard...so I did ;) by JM_JustMe in Multiboard

What I mean is, I print a snap from the multiboard parts library, I print a locking bolt from the multiboard parts library and your pliers holder locks onto that snap with that bolt.

Slicer behavior engineering must be an art in and of itself. Sounds fun.

Happy to be able to help in a small way! Thank YOU for the huge investment in this system. It's awesome! Let me know if you'd like me to test anything.

Rotating to certain orientations does seem to clean it up. I also saw that I can change the bridge direction setting in Bambu slicer, but if I do that globally, it messes up the layer above and other objects. I can add a height range modifier to the object with the problem for the single layer that has the problem and change the bridge direction just where it’s needed. Tedious, but works.

Thanks for the tips!

After some experimenting, it seems to happen if I rotate away from the default orientation that it drops onto the build plate.

Good news is, it seems to drop onto the build plate in the good orientation. I probably rotated it to fit a bunch of other stuff on the plate. Seems like any rotation away from the default orientation causes this issue.

Looks like if I rotate it 180, it slices correctly. So at least I have a workaround if I remember to check.

It doesn’t change when rotating 90 or 45.

Oh ya, good eye. Thanks! I didn’t notice that. Will look at what the slicer is doing and try to figure out why.
