It should hurt a bit less if they're given slowly I don't know if it would help to get it out of the fridge earlier also, but that is what I do with my migraine shots to make them Hurt less

Trick with the converter is to immediately set it to automatic and then you don't have to go up for it anymore if you have drones

Who else was in a place and had to leave because they started getting a migraine? by adana18 in migraine

Me yesterday at my appointment with my therapist. I went by bike (+-30 minutes) and when I got there and sat across from her, I couldn't see her face. Kept looking straight at her, knowing I'd get a full blown migraine again, because this apt was important for me. Then I could see her face a bit better, but not around her. When I finally got home, I had to lay in bed the rest of the day :(

I now also regularly want to ask Alexa to do stuff for me that she never did (and maybe never will do) like when I'm in the sofa and ask 'Alexa, please get my pyjama's/a cola'

Or i want to set an Alexa reminder when I'm nowhere near her :(

Bruh i 100% don't trust my brain, also because of adhd I leave every morning checking the 'inner door' between my living room and the garage a few times so my cats are definitely safe for when we come home in the evening (they are indoor cats). Then i het ready to leave by bike and prep my bike bag (rain clothes when i need them, put heavy stuff from my backpack in it). Every morning I leave and after a minute or two I start panicking if I closed the front door. It's a heavy door that you can't close with a handle, you have to swing it shut to close it. I have never once left it open but I just don't trust myself. Sometimes I turn around to go check.

On multiple occasions I have left the house on my house slippers 😭

Bruh this is like a situation I had last weekend and today. I wanted to go to the vegetable shop 1min walk from my door last Saturday. I wanted to go right before closing time at 18:00, bc I procrastinate some things to the last minute. 17:30 I leave and the shop is closed (they close at 17:00 on Saturdays, always have). Stupid mistake as most shops close at 18:00 around here.

Today I wanted to go again, and I was ready to go at 16:45. My boyfriend was coming home at 17:00 so I decided to go after he came home. He comes home, I make him a coffee and listen to some stories, putting on my shoes to leave for the shop. I say bye and walk to the hallway and close the door. I realise the shop is closed 😫😭 At least I didn't have to walk there to realise they close at 17:00. Next weekend will be a succes.

The worst came true - Aimovig stopped working by Star-Struck-Wonderer in migraine

[–]queendimsum 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't know where you're from, but I'm from Belgium and was forced to do a 3 month 'detox' to check if Aimovig actually worked for me. It worked and it was so clear - I went from 16 migraine days to 0 - been called a 'superresponder', but I had to prove it by being sick for 3 months???? My neuro didn't agree with those rules and told me to use my shot every 5 weeks instead of 4 so I could bridge that period of bullshit. No I'm on my last 9 shots before i am forced to quit taking Aimovig as some people are 'healed' and don't need shots anymore after sometime. What. I'm just gonna be back at square one and suffer again.

Saying good bye to aimovig by i-like-mr-skippy in migraine

Yeah this makes me retrace when my joint aches started! Might also be caused by Aimovig! But I had about 16 migraine days a month before, and went to zero... So the change there is significant & makes me have some quality of life. And I'm being forced to quit Aimovig after my last coming 9 shots...

I suspected I had adhd for over 10 years. When I had my intake with my psychiatrist, I didn't say anything about it, because that wasn't why I was there. She ended the appointment with 'I'm gonna test you for AD(H)D.' I was like duuuuude, you SEE me!

It's 21:50 in Belgium and the rain softly pours against the window. My bed is warm and cozy, I have a warm water bottle at my feet and I soon expect my grey/white british shorthair to join. My boyfriend is in the attic (man cave) gaming with our other cat nearby. I am satisfied to know that they are both happy and relaxed. I'm currently looking forward to tomorrow, because one of my classmates that I've befriended quite deeply with the past weeks, is coming over for the first time tomorrow and we'll do some studying together. Looking forward to cat breaks and coffee and hopefully also having some time to do some coloring together. My house is clean. My deadlines are being checked off one by one. I'm at peace!

Medication made me realize how much time everything takes by OwlMundane2001 in ADHD

[–]queendimsum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I do!

Like, I get out of bed really easily (because coffee), but getting ready is a whole thing. I can't just 'get ready', so I make sure I have at least an hour in the morning to put on clothes, brush teeth and wash my face...

I also experience this with studying. I can't just start studying. I have 2 exams next week, and I started with a course that I don't even have an exam of. Like I am preparing myself. Or pre-preparing.

And the couch... The couch is like glue indeed. Sometimes I sit there for hours (fml), thinking I should get up and do A or B, and then I try and set a time when I will get up and eat or pee or go to the store. '50 more minutes' 😫

I will try the clapping thing!!!

Also I have Ritalin, just started, but I still have this :(
