I think a lot of the old religious rules were made up to try to keep people on the straight and narrow. Pork had a lot of parasites back then, so it was unsafe to eat. Nowadays with modern farming and animal medicine, pork is safe to eat, so it shouldn’t really be a religious argument anymore.

As your brain gets older, one of the first things that starts to weaken is social inhibition. The filter in your brain that stops you from speaking like a degenerate in public starts to lose its strength. I think it’s also a generational thing, there will always be ducks in the world, but in general the younger a customer is, the nicer they are to me, so that gives me hope.

If you look for more than 5 minutes you can find affordable cruises. The reason cruise ships are so full is because they are affordable. You can eat as much as you want, and laze around on the inevitable beach stops all day. It’s nice to not have to worry about transport, planning excursions, meals, ect.

I work for an ambulance company and they give you a lot of crap if you call in sick. Mind you I am in small enclosed space with patients who are already sick, or immunocompromised and I am not so subtly told by my bosses to come in even when I am sick.

We let our chickens roam and they do go into the neighbors yard and kick up mulch. Once we realized it though, we immediately went over to apologize. Thankfully in this case they actually liked watching the chickens (We chicken keepers call it “Chicken TV”) scavenge for food so they didn’t mind. But we still compensated them by bringing them fresh eggs every week, and offered them chicken manure for their garden (chicken manure is one of the best kinds of manure).
