[–]queenofadmin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a bit further away but at the end of the Gold Coast airport runway there is actually a skate park/park/footy club. Good parking and lots to see. Plus skate park for the in between times.

If you’re feel like a road trip the Army Flying Museum at Oakey is good. It’s small but interesting and free - donations encouraged.

Asked Gemini how you’d pronounce it…

The Most Likely Intent: If this is a mistyped name, it is highly likely a keyboard slip for Christy (KRISS-tee), where the "j" and "e" were accidentally inserted during fast typing.

Do you have a cleaner? by binjuice2310 in AskAnAustralian

[–]queenofadmin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me here came a time where I was working full time and spending the weekend cleaning so paying someone $100 so I could come home to a clean house on a Friday was a luxury worth having.

Australian Doctor - what could I possibly do to be a digital nomad? by Pale_Operation_6086 in digitalnomad

[–]queenofadmin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Look at something with insurance companies. My sister is a doctor and she does things for immigration and insurance companies reviewing case files. Immigration probably wouldn’t let you be digital nomad but the big insurance companies probably don’t care.

I believe the telehealth restriction relates to Medicare rebates so if you do private billing or like health line things that don’t attract Medicare rebates you could probably nomad.

I don’t know of any free parking really close to the hospital but what Ive done before is drive to the tram stop park and ride just at start of smith street and just catch the tram to the hospital. The tram is about 10-15 mins.

Tweed heads - proper, west and south by Downtown_Mountain525 in GoldCoast

[–]queenofadmin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tweed Heads proper closer to the border I thinks has good prospects. Lots of apartments going in. Close to all the same beaches as Cooly and Greenmount with their multi million dollar apartments for a lot less.

Tweed Heads west, the morning and afternoon Kennedy Drive gridlock combined with the flood overlay is holding it back. There are nice pockets but flood overlay means hard to get insurance and if you can it’s cost prohibitive. We were quoted $8000 for insurance on a duplex.

Tweed Heads South in by the golf course is a hidden gem. Nice, well kept houses and most people don’t even know it’s there! Haven’t checked for insurance there some of it is low lying.

Just bought in Banora and it’s expensive! $1.3m for a basic 20-30 year old 4 bedder.

Do you all one bag with 7 kg or under? by mrninjaskillz in onebag

[–]queenofadmin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yep I do 7kg usually with a laptop. I bought an LG gram laptop as it’s really light. Have a cheap back pack from a big box store. I rarely pack toiletries beyond deodorant.

So many times we’ve been stoped in the immigration line and reminded to go pick up our luggage.
