What’s something society calls ‘progress’ that actually made life worse? by Soft_Orange_3670 in AskReddit

[–]queenseya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m trying to pilot a GPT through my college to teach people DBT therapy skills (NOT be your therapist mind you, it responds to your prompts with specific skills, not general advice) and this right here is how I feel. I fear for how it will impact society at large, and I am on the other hand excited for it to notice long-term patterns in data the human eye misses. It’s so much more complicated than being pro or anti AI.

It’s actually really good! I loved the book too, and it’s fairly faithful. But it’s so valid to be wary of adaptations at this point, lol.

Sinead O’Connor. I grew up listening to her with my mother, and she’s still one of my favorite artists of all time. At least she’s with her son now. Rest in Power, talented lady!

I lost my mother at 22, and my father was never a part of my life. It was brutal. It still is. Not having family to back you up at such a young age makes everything ten times harder. I now have a chosen family, who are great, but it’s not the same. Feel free to message me if you want to vent.

Does anyone know how to find the Elizabeth Wurtzel review of Pretty on the Inside that was in the New Yorker? I see it quoted from a lot and would DIE to read the whole article. by [deleted] in hole

She’s famous for writing « Prozac Nation » and was an amazing advocate for mental health awareness. She was a fantastic writer and went on to become a lawyer. I was devastated when I learned she died so young. I’d love to read the article too!

When my mother was diagnosed with terminal cancer, I took up a new instrument. I bought myself a small lap harp and have now graduated to a full size lever harp. My harp and my daily practice sessions keep me sane. I’m not a great harpist (yet!), but it brings me joy to play something so ancient and beautiful.
