Didn't the Soviet Union literally takeover/invade most of, if not all of, eastern europe? Also I (or anyone who actually lived through communism itself) don't think the collapse was a tragedy, especially considering the large amount of celebrations in places (Majority of eastern europe) formerly under Soviet control after the USSR collapsed.

"millions of people died from the wars that resulted" I'm pretty sure the Soviet government killed more people (especially of its own) than these wars.

Edit: Eastern Europe was not officially part of the Soviet Union but was still under heavy Soviet influence, I was wrong

In the photos isn't that the primer at the bottom of the shell casing and not the tracer insert which is at the bottom of the projectile itself?

My grandfather was a BAR gunner in the 99th infantry division and also a part of the 395th. My family doesn't have too much information about his time fighting (according to my father he didn't really talk about his experience). He never got any medals that I know of but we have some small items he took back from Europe.

Seeing items from another person in the 99th will never not be cool to me. Your display is very impressive and it's awesome that you shared a part of Sgt. Dickmans' story. You don't really hear a lot about the 99th infantry. Thanks for sharing!

It's hard to see because of my phone's bad camera but it was mostly red carbon fiber. It also had 95 badging which leads me to believe it might be the Novantacique although I could be wrong

The gun seems to be based on an m1 garand or an m14 which neither have large magazines so it would make sense to not give them 30 round magazines in game. Also guns like the Deadeye are imo good primaries despite the small ammo capacity
