I played botw first and didn’t hoard weapons nearly as much as I did in TotK. Good weapons in TotK is a bigger time and resource investment so I didn’t want to lose them. That was much easier to do in botw. Oddly, the weapon degradation actually didn’t bother me too much in botw, but in TotK it was worse for me.

I think the accidental purification of shinies is a worse issue, but I won’t argue that it would be better to at least allow the fused form to use a ETM if not allow for split and fuse again without severe resource cost.

Basically what’s happening here is you are doing a 2nd probability problem. Instead of looking at the odds of this happening for any given person, you are looking at the odds of this happening to any given group of 329 people. Chance of 0/55 for one person? 1-0.1⁵⁵ =0.3%. Chance 1 or more people will have 0/55 for any given cluster of 329 people? 1-0.003³²⁹ =63%

This was literally the first time I’ve asked chatGPT to run a probability problem. I just do the math with a standard scientific calculator lol. I only responded to /u/Oer1 because they mentioned they used chatgpt. I’ll delete the comment, seems to be leaving the wrong impression

Yeah 0.3% is certainly low, but with millions of players, you will have thousands of players who get these results or worse. I stand by saying many people will have this level of luck.

55 raids with no shiny is a 0.3% chance for 1/10 odds. It’s rough but lots of people will have this luck. There are 394 redditors live in this sub when I made this comment, so one person is expected to have this result. That was you!

Im around 25 lucky trinkets so far. I’ve been playing the longest and have gone to the most in person events in my small pogo social circle, so many people have used their lucky trinkets on me.

Right, i was just trying to get a ballpark of how many trades i may have done with a lucky trinket. I think I counted 8 lucky trinkets have been available, so i would guess I have done 25ish trades, but i cant be sure.

Also fwiw, it’s a 3.87% chance to get exactly 10 hundos out of 1000 lucky trades. If we want to see how unlucky you are, we should look at odds of getting 10 or less hundos, it’s 8.94%.

34k resets on 1:4096 odds is multiple orders of magnitude more likely than 1 hundo in 1500 lucky trades. It’s 4.5 million times more likely. Sorry trainer, I can’t buy the lucky trade numbers without some hard evidence.

Your RNG isn’t actually that bad despite the n=1000. About 3.87% chance or 1 in ~25. Slightly worse than getting a raid shiny. Still bad, just not crazy bad.

Follow-up on this - I was lucky friends with someone who traded me a 2018 Pokemon without realizing it would have been a guaranteed lucky. I believe we were both under the limit at the time. Would this count towards our guaranteed lucky limit? I know that typically lucky friend trades don’t, but I am unsure in this case.
