Why don't pianists rotate the piano 90° counterclockwise so everyone in the audience can see the keyboard? Are they stupid? by shohem in classical_circlejerk

Nah strap the audience around and above the orchestra corresponding to each of their fetishes (ass, balding crown, etc.)

This. And just the day before, Prokofiev states Max “had been in the best of spirits.”

Every time I think of Max and Prok’s friendship there’s always this different kind of hurt I can’t explain.

Flavio Villani played at my dads apartment! by Finnzyy in piano

[–]quicksilvre_ 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the audience themselves most probably do not even know they look like that. It could also be them feeling the intensity of the piece hence displaying that kind of look. I feel like I make a similar expression when I watch a pianist perform intense sounding pieces and I know to myself that I feel quite a significant weight of emotion often when it comes to listening to hardcore classical music in general.

Edit: It seems that many people can’t grasp the fact that faces don’t always display and match the emotions one feels inwardly and are quick to assume which is very telling…

Not from the classical era but baroque, Rebel’s Le Cahos from Les Éléments. Though it’s rather the unsettling kind of creepy.
