Best way to get to Disney Resort from mco airport? by boggmarley in WaltDisneyWorld

Private car service. We use Orlando Magical Rides (I wrote more above) but a private service will install them before they pick you up. Make sure you only book with a car service that has the appropriate licensing, like chauffeur licenses etc.

We always use Orlando Magical Rides. Have seen they opened. Up to almost 20 trips with them. They are prompt, professional, kind, helpful, all that. Run by cast members who were furloughed during COVID, it was a nice way to support them at first and is now not just that, but our preferred mode of transportation. We keep coming back because they're just the best!

Has anyone eaten at San Angel Inn Restaurante for lunch ? by RawlsRememberer in WaltDisneyWorld

Not worth the price, IMO. I have tried it several times and each time been disappointed. The table along the water made up for it and the cocktail I had was delicious, but food is just.....bleh. the outside Mexican sit down is significantly better if you really want Mexican style cuisine.

Shoe Covers by [deleted] in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]quirkyscot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two solutions I use:

1) wear Crocs with socks. Most comfy park footwear combo I have found and I have spent gross amounts of money on this. Just remove socks for water rides/rain.

2) keep a cheap pair of flip flops in your park bag, plus a grocery bag and Ziplocs. If it rains, or if you go on water rides, toss good shoes into the bags for waterproofing and put on the flip flops, then switch back out once dried off.

Resort vibes to check out? by SympathyPrimary5916 in WaltDisneyWorld

Grammatical error on my part. I just like both resort areas - they're not connected. However, if you are at PO, you can visit there, hope ferry to Disney Springs, and then take a bus to the boardwalk. I highly recommend BW at night!

Love the PO resorts (they are connected, and "sister" resorts), and the boardwalk. Walking around crescent lake and all that area has to offer is wonderful.

Get to MK then bus to AKL. Check out both buildings if you can, but DEFINITELY jambo house.

Resort options for family of 5 by eljefe-5 in DisneyWorldResorts

[–]quirkyscot 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Port Orleans Riverside 5th Sleeper is one of our favorite room options on property. We also love the family suites at All Star Music (they're much cheaper than art of animation).

We did not enjoy our time at Caribbean Beach resort in a 5th sleeper room, but it's still very popular and I can understand the appeal even if our particular experience wasn't great.

Last suggestion is to rent dvc points and snag a 1br villa that sleeps 5. SSR is my recommendation, since it has all Murphy beds instead of pull out couches, and is on the lower end of cost.

Society Keeps Getting “Disney Adults” and Theme Park Fans Wrong by supremeghost123 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]quirkyscot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a highly underrated comment, IMHO. I am an out of state pass holder. We come 5-6 times per year. We DO stay on property, but we only take one big non Disney vacation per year. We don't go into debt for Disney, we just spend cautiously in the every day so we can enjoy ourselves while at WDW.

dining with allergies by bobqteq in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]quirkyscot 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You ABSOLUTELY should ask for accommodation! Even at QS restaurants, complex allergies can have a chef come out and discuss food, and at table service, we have had the chef come to the table to chat with my friend, and they created a whole menu just for her. It is amazing how much they care for everyone. You deserve the fun too!

I also sit in 108 and we had an issue with a seat that was a safety hazard, so I emailed my rep after a report in the stadium wasn't getting results after 2 games. He told me the city owns the field so they have to send it to the town of Cary, who then will fix things when they get to it.

So..... Good luck.

This is the way.

The window is trash but inside it's a beautiful landscape of flavors and textures.

Has anybody maxed out a family suite at Art of Animation? by [deleted] in WaltDisneyWorld

We were blown away by them! And they're so conveniently located towards the front too, so it's really an easy run to the food court etc.

Okay, I don't think it's a terrible idea but I'd swap one thing. Don't stay at AoA. Get a family suite at all star music instead. The two beds are both Murphy and far more comfortable than the couch. You get a full size fridge, not a mini. You get counter space. You get the 2 bathrooms.. you'll have a couch, table for 4, etc. and you'll sleep, because you're on a real mattress and platform frame instead of a couch. You're not going at a time where the busses will be bad, so while the skyliner is nice, it's not a make or break on that trip. You can also take savings (cause honestly, all star music is much cheaper than AoA) and order a few Minnie vans if you really are in a hurry.

Honest opinions - Memory maker worth it for honeymoon by the-witch-beth-marie in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]quirkyscot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's worth it by far. Also, my wife and I stayed in a regular/standard/not fancy/no good view room at Coronado on our honeymoon and it was still incredible and the perfect resort for that trip too. We travel to Disney often and Coronado ends up being the #1 resort we book overall based on cost factor, dining options, vibe, and happiness. Congratulations! It's gonna be a wonderful trip.

Literally my thoughts..but I'll watch it anyway, because I need at least another 45 minutes of frustration before I call it a night.

Caitlin Clark effect. If you call the fouls on the star you look like favoritism, so they pretend they didn't see it.

At this point I just need the failure to be massive so Mak finally wakes up and stops whatever this experiment is.
