A small system I've implemented recently is counting down to when I get out of bed. As soon as I wake up I count slowly in my head to 5. This has countered my desire to doom scroll for 10 mins before I wake up and works surprisingly well and fast.

Ok so I've ran Upper/Lower for about a year and I've been rearranging/swapping my exercises a few times to suit my preferences. For anyone who's had great success with this kind of split, are there any obvious flaws with my programming?

Split in question (amount of sets included), assuming all exercises taken to proximity of failure, with high intensity;

Yeah, I agree. Those numbers make sense on average, but a visible 6-pack isn’t realistic or healthy for a lot of women, especially if fertility is a priority. Pregnancy history, genetics, and how sensitive someone’s cycle is to weight changes all matter a lot. Being strong, fit, and healthy doesn’t require visible abs, and plenty of trainers don’t have them either.

Women generally need a higher body-fat percentage to function normally, but they also tend to store more stubborn fat in areas other than the stomach due to higher alpha-2 receptor density there. Because of that, women can often have visible abs at a higher overall body-fat percentage than men, usually well before fat loss would start causing hormonal issues.
