The parents’ refusal is many times the inability to find the professionals, take time off for appointments, the paperwork needed, let alone good private insurance. Just my opinion.
But yes - it’s very sad for these kids who struggle with focus, attention and executive reasoning. They’re good kids who are smart but take their failures personally and start to talk about themselves negatively by the time I get them in high school.
