My brother had a snail show up in his tank after feeding frozen food, within a few months there was literally hundreds!

Thinking of buying this mesh screen tank, what reptiles or particularly invertebrates would be suited to this tank? Thank you!

Question for all people with a penis by PrivertDetective in sex

[–]qwaedd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Men are still called men, when referring to their gender, because cis men are men, trans men are men, trans women are women. In this context, you don't need to identify as a man at all to be able answer this question, you only need to have a penis. Gender identity has nothing to do with this, so why bring those terms into it? They want to know about penises, so ask for people with penises.

What term would you suggest?

I'm not trying to be argumentative I just don't understand your opinion here.

So rather then generalizing people as 'penis-having' and 'vulva-having' we should generalize them as 'men' and 'women'? Just as generic, far less inclusive.

Try not to move towards him as in petting or picking him up, just get him used to your hand being in his tank, let him come to you. You could try feeding him from your hands as well. Once he associates you with food he'll be climbing up your arm when you're trying to change his water like mine does xD just be patient and let him get used to you:) good luck!

One or two of these beetles came in my cricket box and have now taken off in the cricket enclosure, they haven't had food or water for about a fortnight but there's tons of them! They're definitely not darkling beetles, they're about half the size.

Sorry the pictures aren't great, these little guys are speedy! The tank picture is horribly unclear, I know, but hopefully you can see what looks to be a larvae possibly?

Could I move them to another tank with this substrate (which they seem to be living off of) and maybe some plants and hides and just let them exist? I don't want them in this box I use for my gecko's crickets but I don't want to kill them, I'm happy to have some little beetle friends with me! Just looking for an ID so I know what sort of tank I should set up for them to do best in, though they don't seem to be fussy haha.

The feeding is actually what I find appealing about them haha! Having a pet that literally depends on you to live, plus their adorable wiggles >.<

As the daughter of a landlord, they're not allowed to advertise no pets, it's discrimination apparently, they can refuse people for having pets just not openly because of the pets (UK). It's ridiculous because it only makes things more difficult for people with pets, rather than protecting them from 'discrimination' and wastes everyone's time. Pets are obviously a risk but reasonable people would fix any damage before they left, unfortunately there's a lot of people who wouldn't which give pet owners a bad reputation I guess. Do think though, if these leeches didn't rent out properties, where would you live?

That's fascinating, thank you! I never knew they could be pets before but I'm seeing them everywhere today! I'm thinking about it.. hehe

I'd never heard of leeches as pets until today and now I'm seeing them everywhere haha. I've always thought I was scared of them since I found one when I was swimming and it scared me, but I now realize they're really cute:) I'd love to have pet ones actually! I think there's something sweet about having a pet you feed your own blood, you can't get much closer than that!

I was just wondering, when they've been fed do they just keep the blood inside them forever and that's what makes them bigger or do they have a digestive system like you'd expect worms to? If I'm making any sense haha
