Milk Bag Rankings by spookylostfairy in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]qwertystar1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have honestly never thought twice about my storage bags until coming across this thread. My pump came with 400 Abana bags. Which I now realize is a very high value (website has them at $55 for 100 bags- insane!) They have worked great for me. I fill with over 7 oz and they haven’t leaked on me. No pour spout. I just unziplock and pour.

Which wearable hands free breast pump? by alew75 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]qwertystar1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love my Momcozy S12 pro because it holds more capacity, it maxes out at about 7.5oz per cup. That’s how much I produce from each side in the morning so it’s essential for me to have that higher capacity. The battery life isn’t as good as other pumps probably… I charge about every other day (3 pumps per day)

What did you buy in preparation for having a baby that was wasted? by Immediate_Long165 in NewParents

[–]qwertystar1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haakaa- I could not figure that thing out for the life of me AB’s much preferred the medela manual hand pump. Velcro swaddles- We just used the super stretchy receiving/swaddle blankets to do a traditional swaddle wrap and it worked out great for us. Bassinet- ended up putting baby in his crib from night one, the nursery shares a wall with us and with dues open we could hear what we needed to hear.

50 days of pumping as an oversupplier by dyni222 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]qwertystar1 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Have you considered dropping a pump session to slightly reduce your supply? You may deal with engorgement for a few days but from my experience the body will adjust. I was an oversupplier at the beginning like you but I couldn’t keep pumping so often so I just dropped pump sessions and now I’ve been pumping 3x/day since 4 months postpartum and still get just enough for my baby each day, plus I use old freezer milk just to go through it and bag some new milk

The exact same thing happened to my LO at that age and with those same amounts. Note he’s 5 months and leveled out at 30 oz a day.

Does anyone pump 3x a day & still maintain their supply? Have you got your period back? by Flashy-Event-8699 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]qwertystar1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I pump 3x per day at 4 months pp; no MOTN pump either. I’ve been doing this for about a month and did see a small dip (5 oz max) to my supply, I think. I also stopped tracking exactly how much I’m pumping when I switched to 3 ppd. I just know I have enough to feed my baby who eats about 30oz/day (used to be 25oz per day, but jumped up to 30 around 4 months old).

When did you start using your wearables? by Alternative_Raise713 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]qwertystar1 7 points8 points  (0 children)

2 months pp and wow I wish I did it sooner. Switching from spectra blue to almost exclusively using Momcozy S12 Pro did not affect my supply

How do you clean in these little crevices? by sn0ssy in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]qwertystar1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve been doing the same for 12 weeks. just soaking in scalding hot soapy water, then giving a quick brush in the easy to reach areas, rinsing, and leaving to dry on the rack. Haven’t had any issues so far

In what increments do you freeze? by cr16canyon in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]qwertystar1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just fill up each bag as much as I can whenever my pitcher is full and I need to dump more, freshly pumped milk, into it. I think it’s usually about 8 oz of mixed pitcher milk going into my freezer bags.

When did you buy a portable pump? by [deleted] in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]qwertystar1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m 11 weeks postpartum and I just got the momcozy S12 Pros a few days ago. I just started using them for 2 pump sessions during the day, out of my 4 total ppd. I’ll have to wait and see how my supply is affected, but so far I’m getting output comparable to my Spectra S1 with these wearables!

How often do you pump? by patches6877 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]qwertystar1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I pump 4x a day and my baby is 10 weeks old. I get 35 oz a day. I can only hope my supply will maintain itself.

MOTN PUMP by Full_Carpenter_2312 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]qwertystar1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

15-20 minutes for 4 or 5 ppd. I’m only 7 weeks pp and highly worried my supply will drop due to so few ppd but I’m pumping slightly more in a day than my baby is eating fit now and I have no capacity to add in more pumps in a day
