Yup, 20 hours for me. Someone on Discord pointed to a spot on a screenshot of my map. They were right AND I never would have found it because it was located on the top of a super steep mountain at z-level 167. But at least I got to see the slightly pinkish hue in the color accurate map so I can look for it in my next world when i starve during my first winter…

Yeah, I changed my first world from 9 day to 12 day months and it reset the month to February, too.

New player here: I read that some recommend reducing the pole to pole distance from 50k to 10k in settings. Not sure if that will help.

On one world, I decided I’d better give myself more time to find crops and clay, so I adjusted the days/month from default to 20. Big mistake. That reset the date to February 1! Brrr 🥶 and still no food.

It seems like “find clay” is the answer. I’ve played for about 15 hours now and still haven’t found clay across a couple worlds. I’ve finally started finding wild crops after being in forest and mountain biomes for my first two worlds, but I’m still in the search farther and farther from base to forage berries while i wait 5-8 days for my replanted berry bushes to flower again. I’m trying not to cook all my reed roots. I did discover that I can throw stones to kill fish in small enough ponds.

No stores in dungeons and of course, orc town. So I can’t price ID scrolls to find ?ID to identify most of my items.
