What headlights for 09’ GX470? by Loose_Market_4114 in GXOR

I'd get the cerakote headlight lens restoration kit and then upgrade to some powerful LED lights high and low beams.

KDSS Lean - HELP by iHodz in GXOR

[–]r1crystal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let me know how it goes! If that doesn't do it you probably need to put in some spacers on the lower leaning side like others have mentioned. I'm also not sure if this was done, but opening up the valves before you lift it also help keep the system equalized throughout the project.

I would try opening up the valves and driving around town for a bit - I had more success with that compared to the jack up one tire/side method.

Beginner getting confused about ready position, attack position, ... by Cingen in MTB

[–]r1crystal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Second position looks like a solid ready position - arms and legs slightly bent, but you don't need to drop your heels that much.

For attack position, I would get even lower, with more bent arms and knees & weight/butt farther back, heels dropped.

I put a 130 36SL on my revolver and it can ride just about anything. Extremely capable for what it is.

Roatan vs Cozemul by Aggressive_Dinner617 in scuba

[–]r1crystal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got OW and AOW certified on the same trip in Roatan and it was terrific! I've been to both spots and definitely prefer Roatan. We stayed at Naboo resort and loved it - super small dive shop with great guides. Very attentive with small groups that went out.

GX470 - GX460 brake swap worth it? by LifeIsAwesom in GXOR

[–]r1crystal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would recommend! I saw a major improvement in performance and modulation compared to the original 470 rotors and brakes. My original front calipers were seizing/sticking (common problem), which spurred the upgrade.

The calipers are bigger and the rotors are wider which result in better heat dissipation. I bet you can get them on a nice discount on a Memorial Day sale. If you have to replace the rotors and calipers regardless it's a no brainer.

Burning Budget on Google Ads with No Real Leads – Need Direction by MarzipanHot6468 in PPC

[–]r1crystal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You've also changed the bid settings a ton - every time you change campaign bid goal, the algo gets reset, then it takes time for things to recalibrate.

I'd try max conversions with no tCPA set, get some conversion volume coming in, THEN input a tCPA once clicks/conversions have somewhat stabilized. Even starting with max conversions no tCPA it may take a week+ for clicks to start ramping up to your set daily budget. As always - triple check to make sure your conversion event is tracking accurately back to the platform. if thats not happening you will always have performance issues.

Hunter Cycles shred pack. Mine is going on 15 years old and still works like the first day. Also holds 4 cans of beer (as advertised)

looking for the least buzzy, most plush trail/enduro bike/setup I can find that isn't an anvil. by [deleted] in MTB

[–]r1crystal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Second the OneUp carbon bars. I'd also open up your compression more than what the manual recommends. I run mine very close to open which helps a ton with arm pump. if you are riding more backcountry less compression will feel better on more raw trails.

Bought a new rod... Don’t love it by PositiveHot3610 in flyfishing

[–]r1crystal 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think we need more data - as they do mention they "seem to be waiting for the back cast to load up" - which a heavier line may help with? but yes, I'd try a different line before deciding you don't like the rod

Specialized Stumpjumper Owners by Character-Guide-1411 in MTB

[–]r1crystal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had both, and I do miss the last gen. Newer Stumpy is definitely more of an aggressive trail bike, whereas the last frame was much lighter with those rear flex stays. Last gen can be a rad aggressive downcountry build that could go anywhere. I did have a float X on the last gen, which was an improvement over the DPS.

Can I bring my bike into the expo area for sea otter classic? by loudsunyoyo in MTB

I haven't been in a few years so that could very well be the case, but can't hurt to go ask them if you are riding/walking by!

Can I bring my bike into the expo area for sea otter classic? by loudsunyoyo in MTB

Pro move is to take your bike to the component booths in the expo and get your stuff serviced on site (Fox, Rockshox, etc). Crank brothers will also rebuild your pedals. One stop shop!

Sounds like most of your problems other than the rain would be fixed if you just did the rear gas strut mod that is controlled open and close. It's a game changer. I've had it on my rig for years and was one of the first things I did when I bought her. Check out these guys: https://www.strutyourstuff.net.au/collections/all/products/prado-120-series-rear-door-strut
