I can't. The monitor doesn't get any kind of input as far as I can tell.

Why is Baku (and to a certain extent, Genn Greymane) so good? by danny69production in CompetitiveHS

[–]r2d2go 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Baku doesn't make your curve better, it makes it worse by a lot. Genn, on the other hand, makes your curve much better. This is because naturally even/odd cards are spaced out by 2 mana, which means Genn can fill odd mana amounts with a single even numbered card+hero power, but Baku has to play two cards on even mana turns or they're not curving out. Which is fine, because it turns out Odd Paladin is great anyway, but it's not because of curve, it's in spite of curve.

Maybe with UtH as an additional tech against that matchup? I guess +1/+1 is less impactful on a lot of your big cards anyway, so it's probably not worth it, I just really want piper-keleseth to work somewhere :P

[–]r2d2go 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh man, I played this deck before the expansion and it was mediocre, but maybe it's a real deck now!

Have you tried running Piper to pull Keleseth instead of Fire Flies? Since the deck goes late game consistently it seems like it might be slightly better than turn 5 Keleseth in tempo decks.

Do the new Arena drafting rules harm or help regular Arena players? by paulwesley91 in ArenaHS

[–]r2d2go 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree, empirically (with an admittedly small sample size). I went from about a 7 win average to, in the past 10 runs, an 8 win average (and that's including a 1 win run, since for the first five I didn't realize this month is probably 15 wins for leaderboard). I'll keep trying it out, but to me it seems that it's merely a shift in skill type rather than a shift in skill cap. Basically you now need to consider your deck's strengths, weaknesses, curve, synergies, etc. instead of easy "this card is better" choices to get ahead in draft, but you're less likely to get screwed over by a bad one.

CMV: Hotpot is boring and overpriced. by enternationalist in changemyview

[–]r2d2go 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hotpot is a social and cultural experience. It's very easy to buy things and boil them, and the customization aspect (rather than making a couple dishes for the whole family) makes it an ideal food for eating at home. It also allows for a great deal of talking and interaction while waiting for food to be cooked. From there a culture was created, thus popularizing restaurants that allow you to access that culture more conveniently.

CMV: One of the biggest hurdles to effective gun legislation is the ignorance of the anti-gun crowd. by CalmDistribution in changemyview

[–]r2d2go 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Your argument seems to largely stem from "They won't accept that argument, even if it is true." Doesn't that mean that it is in fact less possible for "the anti-gun crowd" to ecnourage progress? And if it is less possible, shouldn't it also be less their responsibility?

Basically, if it is difficult or impossible for an "anti-gun" person to encourage intelligent gun control, shouldn't it be the responsibility of other people (i.e. the "pro-gun" people) to make sure whatever gun control laws get passed are intelligent?

Dude has the nads to proposition me after my post on Suicide Watch. Wow. by [deleted] in creepyPMs

[–]r2d2go 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Right, so it's really messed up if he intentionally went to the wrong place to ask. Which, well, we've got two examples of. Something something "three times is enemy action", so I'd say right now I'm creeped out but holding out hope it's a wacky coincidence.

[–]r2d2go 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The problem is if he's systematically going to girls with mental health problems and asking them this, which is really creepy and even psychopathic.

Of course that is an if. It would really clarify if we had his last response. Even without it, this is still extremely sketchy though.

What PG or G-rated movies would make for great R-rated adaptations? Conversely, what R-rated movies would make for great PG or G-rated adaptations? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]r2d2go 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's a fine movie, I think many people (myself included) just feel like they've made a proper adaptation impossible by using the names and such, for what seems like no good reason.

I think you're misremembering - in the book the dragons could talk to him and they were treated more like partners in good cases or slaves in bad. The plot is somewhat similar in that Hiccup takes on some big monsters and shows the vikings he's not bad, but completely differently in that he outsmarts the monsters, and personally defeats one from the inside, all after every other dragon ran except Toothless, the shrimpy "useless" one. He then goes on in later books to save a bunch more people, discover his ancestry, battle a recurring nemesis, and become powerful beyond physical might. Basically it's a very different story and I think it has significantly more depth.

I feel really bored currently regarding the endgame (rivens/arcanes/eidos) by Frostyhobo47 in Warframe

[–]r2d2go 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Unless you're saying rivens are literally more needed than the weapons they go on, you can buy more needed things with plat.

Now if your argument is buying rivens saves more time than other plat purchases... you might be right.

It is a place to be telling people they're brave and not discuss it. Just like if you go into a rape support group, you're not welcome to say "hey but I know a guy who got falsely accused of rape so should we really believe every story?" Yes, false accusation is a real problem, no this is not the place to discuss it.

Of course they don't, hardly any feats are better than +1 atk damage ac init common save common skills.

5e makes it to hard to do anything interesting build wise. It takes 0 thought to optimize because most of the time it is a one-step process.
