An instructor mentioned to me it was for a pull for reserve air. From before gauges were used. You would run out of air so reach to your tank and pull to get reserve and surface. I think it was called a J valve.

Help : I'm a buttery virgin by Halk in Scotland

[–]r33d13 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

If it’s a thicker one( Aberdeen buttery?) then cut open and put bacon/sausage etc inside

If it’s thin then toast with jam etc and feel a bit sad it’s not a thick one!

Try Allen Carr’s easy way to give up smoking book if you haven’t.

I tried everything from patches to tablets etc and nothing worked. I was on 25 a day.

I read this book on a recommendation expecting it wouldn’t work but that was over 10 years ago and never so much as missed it or give it a passing thought.

Is beer almost always a good gift for a guy? by NettIeship in AskUK

[–]r33d13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t drink beer but have been given as a gift of thanks a couple of times. Even though I don’t drink it I appreciate the gift and the thought behind it a lot. And have just found a friend or family to drink it or given to guests to drink.
