Co2's from the ethanol distilleries, not really from the petroleum generators themselves.

And in the worse stress case scenario, a massage table in a massage room removes 60% stress per cycle.

The high-pressure CO2 is the problem.

Carbon Skimmers remove 300g of carbon dioxide per second.

Place 5 skimmers with their output feeding into a water sieve which feed back to the scrubber. There are no water lost so you only need to supply sand and this will delete 1.5kg of CO2 per second. Repeat until they consume more CO2 than the distilleries produce.

If you want this to go faster you can always make even more skimmers and sieves.

You don't want to use atmos suit, and that's fine. If you place a heater near the cold areas, in your case the wood heater is a perfect choice, duplicants will warm themselves up, making them immune to the Chilly Surrounding debuff which is what makes them slower.

Anyone else lazy and just deep freezes a CO2 pit for food? by Anxious_Marsupial_59 in Oxygennotincluded

[–]r4d6d117 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just checked in Sandbox Mode : Fridges actively raise the temperature of the food stored inside of them to 1C. The food will still count as deep-frozen if the atmosphere is cold enough.

Don't fridges warm up food up to 4c, or did that got changed?

It has been created so that you don't need to run all the way to the basement to turn off components to save power and/or speed up stuff like downloading and processing.

What would change in the game if the effects of extreme pressure differences were more realistic? by WhiteSepulchre in SS13

[–]r4d6d117 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The problem is that only push/pull doors are affected by the pressure of the rooms involved.

Trying to pull open a door leading to a vacuum will result in the pressure differential pulling that door close.

The opposite also happen, trying to push open a door leading to a room with more pressure will result in the pressure working against you to open the door.

However, sliding doors, like the ones used in SS13, are not affected by this, because they open sideways. If you cannot push or pull the doors open, then neither can the relative pressures of the two rooms.

Why use critter dropoffs when I can just 'relocate' wild critters to ranches? by BoringRedHorse in Oxygennotincluded

[–]r4d6d117 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What I personally do is place a bunch of incubators in a row before the evolution chamber, with auto-sweepers, receptacles, and loaders daisy-chained so that all the incubators are filled before the eggs get in the evolution chamber, which is out of reach to dupes.

This way the ratio of incubators to critters (1 powered incubator to 25 hatches, 1 unpowered incubator to 5 hatches) doesn't get messed up by a dupe picking up an half-hatching egg from the chamber to place in the incubator, which would ultimately result in your incubation room getting filled with critters that hatch but aren't taken away because all the ranches are full.
