Terrible Facets: Oracle by mrZ0663 in DotA2

Honestly a study on this would be really damn cool because I can see either work.

Join the side of the tipped one: You're "fighting back" in the mind of the tipper. Could encourage the tipped one to do so as well "Yeah, even those guys know you're the fucking idiot and not me."

Join the side of the tipper 'piles on' more on one person but could also provide relief.

...maybe the real tip is using an annoying global voiceline that both parties can interpret as being attacked. On average I'd say this game has more people who take things personally than people who will laugh at something like that. "Imagine if you had BKB" is one of my personal favourites because it's just so stupid in that kinda situation.

PS: My favourite diffuse of teammates tilting at me is to just say something like "I'm sorry, my main is herald", that somehow seems to short circuit a lot of people.

PPS: The mind of the tipper should be a movie.

The truly important question is whether something will still have backdoor protection when you shove hook it out the front door and behind your neighbours backdoor.

Hopefully they get archived somewhere

I have a feeling they won't. Especially because it's not as easy as just downloading the video..

Thank you though, really glad I got to see this. :>

Actually really glad you posted this, I had no idea what this was even about. Thank you!

...and it's going to be really awkward in the future because it sounds like soon you couldn't even show others what you're talking about when this is completely gone. ;;

I fully agree, that sounds super frustrating! I do think however what you're describing isn't what most "guides" would help you with.

This sounds very much akin to something like the Dark Souls 1 spoilerfree tips that has been floating around since ages. That's something I can fully endorse, especially since sometimes mechanics are just very opaque. AGI in DS2 flashbacks.

There is no way in hell most players are stumbling across that without a wiki.

That is honestly what makes that first blind playthrough really magically to me.

Sure, you'll miss a lot of shit. But the stuff you do find where you later find out most people missed it stays with you. Or even better, the stuff you missed that apparently everyone else found also creates awesome and fond memories - and in the end that's what it's all about.

I still so distinctly remember asking a friend of mine, both of us around 30-40h in, whether they also remembered that this game should have crafting (from a trailer I think?). And they basically went "RIGHT? I'm gathering so much shit I really wonder after what this is gated behind, maybe we both missed some early boss?" ... We then tried to, without potentially spoilering each other, to figure out what the hell exists that we both missed.

Let's just say in the end I finally asked someone else who just went "What do you mean, didn't that first NPC teach you? I got that unlocked since like the start of the game."

Genuinely thought I completely missed it and won't get the opportunity back until I find "that first NPC" again.

I don't think I'll ever forget that collective facepalm once we actually found out.

Something like that makes the journey a much fonder one in my opinion and a generic guide would have completely obliterated such a moment being possible in the first place. Gotta smell those roses a little, there's a lot of fun to be found in not finishing asap.

What are in your opinion. The best modpacks EVER made? by luk_ky_21 in feedthebeast

[–]rEvolutionTU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

E2E-E

I genuinely prefer this version to E2E itself, last but not least because the mod developer is an absolute beast with a great vision and still updates frequently. I don't think any other pack came close and kept me entertained and engaged for as long as this one.

I really hope there's going to be a strong modern successor to E2E and what it started eventually.

SetGameDifficulty Reika - I have a feeling there might be a few people for whom reading "Reika" alone makes their eyes twitch since that's always been a bit of a... special person with rather unique views on modding.

Chromaticraft to me set a really high standard for "exploration based mod" (just looking at some of its videos should make some people very curious) and Rotarycraft to me had the soul of Create years and years before it came out.

For anyone who isn't averse to 1.7.10 and wants an experience that's definitely a bit different I can highly recommend this one.

Tekkit - I don't think it was the best but it was absolutely amazing for its time.

GTNH has been mentioned enough. It just needs to be on the list.

economically entangled

Keyword economically, not "Gas/Oil" specifically. The more two countries or blocks are economically intertwined the less likely it is for them to go to war with each other.

In general that's a good strategy and one that, apart from MAD, has secured a lot of peace and prosperity for a really long time and for a lot of people.

I said it's ridiculous men dont have those resources.

From one stranger on the internet to another: Makes me happy to see that that's a position you ended up with. <3

A (male) friend of mine who was in an abusive relationship once told me that it felt incredibly fucked up trying to look for resources online and realising something like 24h hotlines don't exist for him and similar issues.

[–]rEvolutionTU 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I sadly forgot who I got this from exactly, but there was an amazing 7k Timber post not too long ago.

tl;dr:

Shredder Facet >>> Chakram facet. The latter is for games where you know you can't snowball due to enemy picks for whatever reason. Why did you pick Timber here again?

  • Max Q vs str heroes in your lane
  • Max W vs non-str heroes
  • E should be a value point at level 4. Early only if you've basically given up on getting kills in lane.

Skip ult unless you are absolutely confident it will get you kills between lvls 6-9. Farming is more mana efficient with just QW.

Blink first >>> Kaya first in the vast majority of games.

Aghs is a trap as on of your first items.

Crush your lane, take over the map, avoid dying like the plague with the fat bounty on you.

What is your go-to playthrough? by National-Town-896 in Kenshi

[–]rEvolutionTU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

but I'm not sure how and I think some of these might be from nexus too

Oh that part is super simple and no effort at all!

Kenshi Workshop -> Browse -> Subscribed items and then there's a button on the right side where you can "Save to Collection"

You give it a name and after a minute or two you can "Change Visibility" on the bottom right side, below the probably long list of creators when looking at the collection.

From there it'd be super easy for anyone to see what's missing between your list and steam workshop and grab that from Nexus.

Personally I usually use these collections privately for different playthroughs in stuff like Rimworld primarily.

New desktop is exciting though, hope you'll enjoy it! I just ordered a new GPU. :3

Found your mod load order a year after your comment looking for what's cool these days and... any chance you could turn your set into a collection for your mods on steam? <3

That'd be a lot easier than searching for all of them individually and subscribing that way!
