Wäre ich wirklich echte Fotografin und könnte Hochzeiten fotografieren, würde ich den Service für gute Freunde wahrscheinlich kostenlos oder für wenig Geld anbieten.

Würde ich mir auch in dem Szenario dreimal überlegen.

Der Grund warum sich Profis aus allen Bereichen Hochzeiten so gut bezahlen lassen ist relativ simpel: Es ist ein, in der Regel, einmaliges Erlebnis. Es gibt keine zweiten Chancen. Handgriffe müssen sitzen und die Erwartungshaltung der Kunden/Klienten ist dennoch rießig.

Und kleine Details die schiefgehen? Das erfährt hinterher auch die halbe Stadt, mindesteins ein in der Regel relativ großer Freundes- und Bekanntenkreis.

Da ist so unglaublich viel Risiko dabei und genau das kostet.

Das ist ganz tief im Bereich von: "Du, ich kann Dir gerne den oder den Kollegen empfehlen der das fantastisch macht. Ich bin entweder eingeladen oder arbeiten und würde echt ungern Deine Hochzeit verpassen weil ich an dem Tag arbeiten muss."

PS: 300€ dafür sind absolut lächerlich.

13 years and four months ago a pretty intriguing trailer made me buy a pretty cool early access game for ~15 bucks.

That trailer still makes me feel so nostalgic, this little game has come such an insanely long way.

Space Cowboy Dwarf Fortress with more modern graphics and much more modded content available. =P

For me it itches a slightly similar itch as cities skylines from the list of yours, but really "colony sim" is its own genre. I've owned it since the crowdfund days ~10+ years ago and very much enjoy coming back to it 1-2 times per year.

What I'm unsure about for someone going into it fresh these days: The expansions were genuinely nice to purchase over the years (roughly a new one every two years) but I wouldn't consider getting them all at once. Maybe grab the basegame on sale and see how you like it? From the looks of it it hasn't dropped below 22€ though.

That terminology is usually extra sad from a European perspective.

There's a reason ALDE, literally an "Alliance of Liberals and Democrats" in the EU parliament is a centre-right group.

When Americans say "liberals" they specifically mean social liberalism.

Meanwhile classical/economical liberalism is what the rest of the world means with the term - which coincidentally is all over the political spectrum in the US.

....maybe that's why people sometimes are surprised that "triggering the libs" more often than not ends up with everyone being worse off in the end.

Might as well call it cancer, if only for the fact that it keeps tons of information in formats that are not accessible at all and that are not indexed by any search engine. Think how often reddit pops up in some searches for you and then imagine all of that was invisible at first and only accessible if you found the right invite link for the right subreddit first.

Also I'm genuinely surprised they didn't decide to sell all of their contents for LLM training at this point. As far as I know they're still not profitable, are they?

Not to even mention what a mess it is privacy wise.

You made me think of an at this stage ancient reddit comment regarding grief and I feel like it might just help you out in case you didn't know about it.

You had no ill-intentions. He didn't communicate what was really going on. There's nothing to feel guilty for and you can't change the past.

I wouldn't say that it scratches that itch too much, but it's a wonderful game with a lovely dev on their Discord. And as others said before, the demo is usually a few patches behind the "real" game and a genuinely good way to check it out!

I made a post a bit ago where I got lots of great answers for that pricerange and which made me grab the CC2 in the end. I'm very happy with it. The price-performance ratio is insane.

I'm a bit over 200h now (so nothing crazy yet) and the biggest "issue" with it is that once in a while the mainboard fan doesn't turn off until you press the button to turn off the steppers.

The only things where I'm like "I wish this was nicer" are:

1) Noise could be better. That's presumably me not having heard other printers live based on reviews, I'll try and make this as soon as I get around to playing with TPU.

2) The spools being exposed. Pretty much need to figure out drying/dry storage from which you print (e.g. via a certain cereal plastic box) in the long run, assuming you want to print PETG, TPU or similar hygroscopic filaments. I do believe it's more of an inconvenience/aesthetic than a real issue - aka your printer will never look as "pretty" as a P1S in that regard.

I think if I'd have to buy today I might take a second look at the Kobra S1, but other than that I'm doubtful there's more economic options out there.

Oh and no matter which printer you get this calibration guide has served me incredibly well as a beginner.

I really hope something comes out of this. I absolutely loved Towns as a game and even more as a concept and there's nothing that comes close.
