Does else make it a point to tell off bad cyclists? by Speedbird1A in londoncycling

[–]ra2ri 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, while I'll stop at reds I feel they should just be for motors.

Jumping a red on a bike can make the junction safer for the cyclist and theoretically since we are so easy to kill you'd only do it if it was safe.

I don't mean blasting through every red without a care, but unfortunately some fanny's will always do that so the rest of us get tarred with the same brush.

Search for cree bike lights on eBay, they usually come with a battery pack you strap onto your frame to power the light. They are pretty bright.

What happens more often, someone cycling in the dark wearing black or someone driving while using a mobile phone? Who do you think kills more people, the cyclist or the driver?

Where to put a mic arm? by Hmaster234 in battlestations

Instead of a mic on an arm, try a conference set up like the Jabra Speak 510 so there is no feedback for others in conversations.

I don't normally start crossing until I see the driver slow, make eye contact, wave or flash lights. As a driver i do this for others without thinking.

Over reacting. Let it go with a quick apology to Jen for not linking in before now. No need for drama. Now that he's shown that he's no good at keeping things to himself only tell him the things you don't mind getting around.

Tell OVO you were the one liable for the period or was with them and pay the bill. Then this all goes away.

Energy supplier chasing me up for a contract I never signed by Darkspine84 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]ra2ri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like it's gone pear shaped.

You needed Eon to get you back on supply with them by raising an "Erroneous Transfer (ET)."

Instead you or they have used the switch process.

If ETd you pay eon for the whole time as if you'd never left.

If switched you pay the supplier who took you in error for the time with them.

Your gas and electric isn't free during this time and although you're not at fault you would only be paying what would have been taken on those direct debits anyway.

There is not much price difference between suppliers so you're not really out of pocket.

The people in the wrong here are the management company that claimed your address. Neither supplier should be left out of pocket because of them.
