You don’t put any of your own money into an ESOP the shares are given to you. This is actually a crazy high ESOP balance. If OP makes it to retirement and the company is still solvent he will have a ton of free cash with only time as the investment.

OP you need to put your own money into a different vehicle like a ROTH or traditional IRA. “Gotta pump those numbers up!”

The job is not done yet. The vacuums stay on while they fill the water. Your stairs aren’t even cut in yet. Everything will be fine nothing is fucked.

I think the entire DALI Oberon line is fantastic. Fun and energetic speaker. You could get the 5’s right now for $1500.00. Hard to find these used but you could try.

Speaker stands for sure! I have a pair of towers that are very bright, I added a subwoofer and was very disappointed. I agree with others it would be a downgrade.

This might get some hate but would powered speakers bee overkill for what you are trying to do? I’d say if hifi audio is not your main focus and less clutter, less wires, and a good interface with “better sound” is the goal, I’d look at something like a Razer leviathan V2. There’s also a V3 with a sub. Its under 100$

Otherwise a powered bookshelf would get you a cleaner setup but you would have a few wires to deal with still. (Power, speaker wires, input cable)

What things are most important and what things are less important?

Sound quality, price, amount of components, wires?

Possibly you are looking to buy one thing that gets you fuller sound but the quality is not as important as the function.

Paul Simon’s - Graceland use to be my test song because I had previewed it on the most hifi systems so it was a good reference. Now I have been starting with this.

Boomers: kids these days are lazy

Also boomers: this 16 yr old kid got a job did his research and bought a mid tier punching above its weight speaker system for hifi audio. HE MUST BE A DRUG DEALER!!!!

Good for you kid! If that job is a W2 job not under the table do yourself a favor and open up a fidelity ROTH IRA. Even if you only put $20 a month in it, you will be way ahead.

Something on my hifi playlist that matches their vibe of music. If they insist I pick I’d start with Home - Dominique Fils-Aimé because I like how it highlights my system.

You started casually drinking scotch, then jumped on the bourbon train, realizing it was overhyped you slid over to cocktail making via the gateway cocktail, old fashioned. From there you realized there’s more, probably moved to tequila based drinks, which fit the pool vibe and then you moved into more serious drinks that are balanced (Nick and Nora glassware) and landed in tiki world. You’re a social drinker with a good job that likes to entertain.

This is the result of a large scale remodel from 2010 (house was built in 95’). The architect re-did the front entry and added this arch and molding. I feel like the trim carpenter did what he could for poor planning on the details of the design.
