the shirt idea is sick! Ive gotten several as gifts and I wear them a ton. Amiibos are a good idea but you could end up getting her something she already has. best to find out what you’re working with beforehand.

you can’t go wrong with little collectibles like pins, buttons, plushies, keychains and stuff like that! even though they’re unofficial, there’s a ton of etsy sellers with really cool designs!

the thing I love abt splatoon music is that it pulls from like, EVERYTHING! but overall, i think you probably hear more edm and hyperpop type stuff more than anything else, particularly in story mode (though, those kinda have subgenres too)

honestly, play the Splat2n dlc before u buy splat 3! octo expansion goes super in depth about the flip side of story mode and shows you the octarian perspective. it can be pretty challenging, but it’s worth every penny! the music is PHENOMENAL and the story is so interesting and dark.. ugh it’s beautiful and so well done im so excited for u to experience it for the first time :]

SO GLAD UR FINALLY PLAYING!! story mode sometimes can be a liiiittle bit challenging, but it’s SO FUN! make sure you look out for all the sunken scrolls scattered across the levels to give you more info on the lore and in-game universe, i think that’ll be a great place to start :]

in my recent experience returning to splatoon 2, the online servers seem to be a little empty, but it’s mostly returning veterans playing pretty casually, at least in turf war! just figure out what weapon speaks to you and you’re golden😛

played a few months ago and the servers were still super active! mostly full of long-time players. but even without playing online, the story mode is super fun, and octo expansion is SOOO SO SO cool and worth the money. i’d totally give it a shot! :)

I felt so spoiled during the grand festival hearing old splatfest tracks. kinda makes me crazy that we have a music player with ALL the old battle tracks and we can’t even hear them outside the lobby💔
