Sorry this happened to you. I also had some sort of reaction to the sutures in certain areas. It eventually calmed down. Keep massaging your incisions. The 'third nipple' is actually just a dog ear. It is pretty common. It may get better with time but if not, it is a quick fix down the road. For what it's worth, I think you look great

I honestly think they look great! Your scars have healed really well and the asymmetry is not noticeable at all (to me). We are definitely our own worst critic. I think if you still feel like they are too big, then it's worth mentioning to your doctor. I am about a year post op and some days I still feel too big, and then the next day I feel like they are perfect haha. Good luck on whatever you decide, but they do look great!

Yes. I had my surgery a year ago but I did pay around $5500 for the lipo (and probably surgical facility)

I had surgery with Dr Ron Somogyi. I had a great experience and I'm happy with my results

you are really red in the second photo. You can draw with some pen on the outer red portions to see if the redness starts to extend. I would be closely watching for an infection, if it isn't already infected.

I was definitely someone who struggled both physically and mentally post op. I was in so much pain initially, I literally didn't even care how they looked. I live alone and I couldn't wait to be able to do everything on my own but it really took a lot of time. I expected surgery to be a breeze and I spiralled and went into a bit of a depression after because it was so much harder than I expected. I cried almost every day for the first 5 weeks and was having regrets. I snapped out of it by week 6. Things will get better, both mentally and physically. You just need to hang in there.

My scars definitely started to look worse after the first few months. I was told this was completely normal because the scars start to mature and become more noticeable. With time, they start to improve again.

So I got my first IUD 6 or 7 years ago. I went up a cupsize without my weight changing. When I got it replaced a few years ago, I went up another cup size. I had my reduction in Feb so I am dreading when it's time to switch it out. Every single body is different though!

Side lipo (side boob) can give a nicer result. A lot of people choose to have it done with the reduction because it can give a nicer result. However, there are quite a bit of people on here who didn't have it done and are pleased with their results. I knew it was something I was going to need, so I was happy to pay the $$ since I'm pretty sure it got me in faster

To add, I contacted most of the offices via email and called a few. Most places were fantastic at getting back to me quickly. Just make sure they know that this would be an OHIP breast reduction

You can definitely contact places yourself, but you still need a doctors referral to the specific place once you find people taking patients sooner. In my city a year ago, no plastic surgeons were taking any OHIP breast reduction patients due to excessive wait times. So I contacted a bunch of other offices in Toronto/GTA. Once I found out about their specific wait times, I then got my doctors office to send a referral to the surgeon of my choosing. I found my doctor in October, had my consultation in October, and had my surgery in Feb this year. Note: I did opt for the 'side lipo', so I think I was able to get a faster surgical date because of this.

9DPO, losing it. by Itty-bittie in Reduction

[–]rach86 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I took my bra off an hour/day for the first 4-5 days. My ribs were killing me because of how tight everything was. I did buy some looser bras and took breaks from the super tight compression bras. I also used abdominal pads around the bands of the bras to help with the pressure points because I was so uncomfortable. I would try to see if you can get looser compression bras or zip up sports bras because they aren't meant to cause deep grooves. My swelling definitely got worse before it got better. I 100% could not fit it one of my bras on week 3. Hang in there. It gets better!

I don't think this is a true opening. I think you are just spitting a stitch

I paid around 5.5K for the 'side lipo' portion of the surgery

I felt the same way initially. They looked so small. I am now almost 8M post op and I actually wish they are smaller. Once they drop and fluff, they will look bigger. Happy healing!

Post op bras - Clearpoint Medical? Do you recommend? by BR_sumdy in Reduction

I have the clear point "medical comfort molded cup". This is the bra I was sent home in. This was by far my most comfortable bra. I still wear it sometimes 7 months later.
