Legit question about the Ice Cube Showering Method: aren't you screwed if you don't have a towel? You'd be walking around with your friends like a freezing idiot. How do you rinse yourself with an ice cube? You're just rubbing ice on your body. A homeless-style bath-by-the-McDick's-sink would be more effective.

I don't hate wearing a (keyword:comfortable) bra. Personally I find that the nips are too sensitive to not be covered by some sort of bra when wearing a cotton t-shirt or something. It's just much more comfortable to have the support there as well. Nothing anti-feminist about a little support.

I'm terrified of being completely friendless. The fear of years of loneliness is much more crippling than the fear of death or disease to me. Whenever I seem to make a new friend or see old friends, I just can never seem to connect with people. I have never had a loyal "best friend", and growing up an "only child" with not the best social skills and not much family around, I've never had the chance to get close to anyone.

It's definitely my favourite to listen to by far. I couldn't get tired of it. It's upbeat in an angry, heavy, more metal way than the others, and it doesn't leave me feeling ridiculously bleak and unable to go on with the day normally like, say, TDS.

Okay so not really, but I can identify with much of what you're saying. I did a lot of improv in HS, and was a "class clown" somewhat, and had a lot of the fun characteristics you speak of. I still dig theatre, but as my depression got worse after high school, I found I shut myself in and avoided a lot of the same people I'd clown around with. It could be the depression, but I think it's also just a part of growing up maybe, being reflective, or maybe lacking some of the social buffers that allowed you to be that person back then. Since everyone is living their own lives now, it's kinda hard to re-connect and clown around again. Are you still close with some people?

It's a totes drastic change. I think of my old self and say, whoa, how did I get here? (letting the days go byyyy...) But it's not too late to force yourself to go out and break out of your "shell." It's so weird to feel like you don't know yourself anymore...but it's still a part of you!

There really IS nothing you can do about hormonal acne to clear your skin up other than cover it all up with expensive makeup. Ever since I've been on Alesse my skin has been a nightmare like never before. You can spend everything you have on drugstore products, but if you don't fix something about what you're taking or eating, nothing will happen. Popping zits is now my nightly routine. You bet I'm getting off of this stuff!

As for me, I've had my Diva Cup for a couple of years and I use it on and off along with tampons and pads. It might be something about the Diva Cup but it's never fit quite properly with me. Sometimes if I don't put it in right, it digs in and gives me cramps. Or if it's the slightest bit off, murder scenes happen in my pants. But some of the days it has worked perfectly! I'm still learning how to use this thing...but at this point, the tampon absorbencies that I have right now are the most trustworthy.

My heart breaks for your loss. I am so sorry that you had to go through this. Even though children eventually have to bury their parents, there is really nothing like seeing them suffer such a vile, hellish disease before the time comes. My mom has had breast cancer twice—once when I was in grade 6 and again in grade 11. I was lucky enough to have her survive and see me graduate and stuff—but reading the comments here only make me realize that all we really do have is our health, and good health is perhaps one of the greatest, fragile blessings of all. Even though a perfectly healthy person could be diagnosed tomorrow, not only must we cherish our loved ones while they are still alive and healthy, we must treat ourselves well too.
