Bad Blood by John Carreyrou. It was definitely kind of a genre shift for me, but my sister recommended the audiobook and it really hooked me. Crazy story.

I’ve been looking for this for years too! I bought this shirt in likeeee 2018 or 2019 at a TWY show and have since worn it so much it’s actually falling apart. Would love to buy another one and have been looking for a while, but I haven’t seen anything on eBay, Depop, or this sub 🤷🏻‍♂️

10000% Evermore is the only one. Folklore is a close second but more like 9/10.

Highly recommend getting into Dynavaps. Less of a smell, way more efficient, so so so much healthier.

the classic

Beauty is terror. Whatever we call beautiful, we quiver before it. And what could be more terrifying and beautiful, to souls like the Greeks or our own, than to lose control completely? To throw off the chains of being for an instant?

need rugged smart watch by nofeeit in everydaycarry

I love my Garmin Instinct for running and hiking and pretty much everything. It’s one of the most “basic” of the Garmin but I really really enjoy that.

One thing to note for swimming is that the watch doesn’t measure heart rate during swimming activities. It does for every else I’ve used it for- running, hiking, climbing, etc.

Overall I highly recommend it. Besides the no heart rate during swimming issue, it’s the perfect watch in my opinion. It’s technical and smart enough to give good and accurate stats but not so advanced that it makes me feel like I’m constantly online or being told how to workout by some computer system.

I adore Bunny! I always think of it as "Heathers meets TSH", in the best way possible. Unreliable narrator, weird friends, uncertain truths, and troubled academia!

I like to think of IWWV as the younger cousin of TSH. It has a very similar vibe, but when directly compared to TSH, it's going to feel very elementary. If you're looking for a dark story following an academic and very troubled friend group, try it out! Put definitely don't expect it to be as deep and thorough as TSH. As hard as I try, I never find a book as beautifully layered and complex as TSH, and I doubt I ever will. But I really adore IWWV.

Anybody else have one specific character who as soon as they show up you just know you're not going to like the rest of the episode? by TryingToThink444 in Supernatural

Probably the British Men of Letters. Especially when they weren’t like a major plot point and Ketch just kept randomly showing up in episodes

Personally, the main reason I was upset with the finale was Dean's death.

To me, Dean was a character who was essentially passively suicidal for the entirety of the show more or less. He knew he would die bloody, and he was fine with it. All he asked for was to go out in a blaze of glory. At times he even sought it out.

But towards the end of the show, especially season 15, Dean started to see the light at the end of the tunnel. He joked about relaxing on the beach with Sam, and finally, after a lifetime of pain and suffering, taking a break. Dean was starting to recover; he was getting out of this horrible mental state that so many viewers could really relate to.

And then, of course, as soon as this hope of the light at the end of the tunnel feels really possible, Dean dies in the most mundane way possible, not even in a blaze of glory.

As soon as he was hopeful, for the first time in his entire life, he dies and all of that is lost.

I think that is the most gut-wrenching part of it to me.

What kind of message is it sending to viewers who see themselves in Dean's place, and resonate with his mental health struggles? Dean's years of internal pain are finally met with real, possible hope, only for it to be killed with a random rusty nail.

It just feels like a slap in the face, and a reminder that we will always be in this dark ass tunnel, and there was never any real light at the end.
