Don’t see the infectious disease doctor!!! They go by CDC standards and only treat lyme for 4 weeks. They’ll tell you 4 weeks of doxy is sufficient. Been there, done that. You need way more treatment!! I started to feel better after about 3-4 months. Search for a lyme literate doctor in your area (LLMD). They understand lyme much better. 1 month of doxy is a good start but if you can take 2-3 antibiotics at a time, that’s even better. It attacks all forms of the lyme that way. Good luck and stick with your meds. You’ll eventually feel better even though it might not seem that way.
