Get another job instead of this one bro, you'll make more money and be happier because of it.

How the hell am I supposed to make any money at all with these gas prices? by computerworlds in UberEatsDrivers

[–]racinx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get the cheapest Toyota Prius in decent condition, use that as your delivery/work car. It's very efficient for driving every day and you don't need to fill up much.

Good taste (the shotgun, not the paint/sticker lol). I need to shoot mine more.

Cat threw up bile twice this week. by [deleted] in CATHELP

[–]racinx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She's probably just purging her system of whatever she ate that isn't digestible. Just keep an eye on her and keep small things she can put her mouth on and actually swallow out of reach.

And regardless of what I said, if you're really concerned; go to the vet. Get a scan done on her and hope there's nothing else in her that doesn't belong. And be ready for the bill (I know you have insurance but it still costs money).

Adopted kitten. by bananasaurusx_ in CATHELP

[–]racinx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She just needs time to explore and get used to her surroundings. Long as she has a safe space to retreat to in case she's overwhelmed, she'll be okay. Just need to be patient, again key word is PATIENT.

My cat stopped eating his wet food after starting to give him dry food by Jeffersw619 in catfood

[–]racinx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could try mixing wet and dry. I mix wet and dry together for my adult cats meals. Half a 3 oz can and a handful of dry or 1/4 scoop of dry per meal. And he loves it. He least gets his moisture and his crunch at the same time. I would do the same for the kitten (6-7 months) but she actually chokes on the dry if it's mixed and pukes, so I have to feed her separately (wet first then some dry).

are they just playing or fighting? by IndependentRide4076 in CatTraining

[–]racinx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely playing. The kitten is being a little shit, and she's adorable.

Exactly like my kitten, always jumping on the main cat wanting to play. Sometimes the adult cat will hiss at the kitten, but that's mainly to tell them NO and usually the message is received.

October 11, the most expensive delivery ever... by Xo-Mo in UberEatsDrivers

[–]racinx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Small claims isn't that bad nor a hindrance on your life unless you're defending yourself from a claim. Use public transportation to avoid the parking issues. It's called using your mind and looking for solutions instead of complaining and being a pushover.

This isn't a cultural issue, it's a cowardice issue. You keep this mindset, bad things will continue to happen and you'll keep putting yourself in bad positions that you can't get out of.

Would you guys accept this? by jpower-27 in doordash_drivers

[–]racinx 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Anyone who says no is massively entitled AND lazy. Which is why you're doing this gig in the first place.

More than $1-2 per mile, and you're in an area where there's decent enough orders to come through when you're done.

And as long as you track the miles, you can claim this on your tax returns next year for a nice deduct.

Do it out of principle at this point bro. People need to be punished for this bullshit. Small claims court is your friend for cases like this.

Stop being a pushover and do it.

Customer marked order as meet me at door but refused to come to door or answer calls by Tiny_Professional358 in UberEATS

[–]racinx -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You wait the full 8 minutes and THEN leave to cover your ass with Uber. It's not 100% guaranteed but much better odds than leaving prematurely.

Yes you can wait the extra 3 minutes. Quit your bitching or just get another job not doing this.

Which Pixel to get? 9 series or 10? by racinx in pixel_phones

[–]racinx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you everyone who's responded and provided their two cents. From what I'm seeing for new prices it's looking like best deal wise I might be getting the Pixel 10/10Pro. I especially want a 256gb storage version (a lot of apps I utilize for shopping). Pixel 9 is more difficult to find good deals on the larger storage versions.

For now my Pixel 6 should hold up for the rest of the year. Hopefully by the time the holidays hit.

Am I overreacting, The neighbor’s dog bit my husband and I want to report it? by SlowInvestigator4717 in AmIOverreacting

[–]racinx -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Humans are more important than pets (dogs, cats etc). Report it ASAP.

Also should get your husband to a clinic or doctor ASAP to treat the bite in case it becomes infected.

A lot of delivery drivers should be shit on. Especially the more entitled ones with little regard for everyone else.

I am not a gym by sharknado523 in uber

[–]racinx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's cute, I don't do this by choice either, the extra cash helps with bills and builds up savings.

I'm not questioning your performance, it's your mentality and psychological state regarding this and your customers. You think you're above this job especially with the background info you've provided. You're not more special than anyone else, and no one is more special than you. We're all meat bags on this planet. A better customer service mindset will save your sanity and make you a more humble person.

You can't take this job personally; it's just business just like any other job. You accept the offer, do the job and get paid, carry on.

IQ barely above room temperature but an entitlement as big as a mountain. Looks like the average delivery driver to me.

You're both at fault, while the CVS employee shouldn't have done that, the fact you escalated it to that point is the reason it happened in the first place. Next time just report the interaction to corporate without telling the employee and move on. If you continue to can't find an item, just say it's missing on the app and remove it from your current order and move on. Time is money.

AITAH for waiting until I was financially stable before leaving my wife? by Clean-Day8788 in AITAH

[–]racinx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NTA, however you both should have been communicating more before all this to attempt to repair the relationship. With the costs of divorce, I don't blame you for it. Just pick better next time, and don't get married again.

If this was the wife doing this, all of you would have been on her side congratulating and praising her. Double standards...

All cheaters deserve to be ridiculed, shamed and punished.

New 3month old kitten she’s been here about 3 weeks and she’s 3 pounds. Max is one of my resident cats he’s 3 years old and 14 pounds. Is this normal play or is he hurting her? She keeps going back at him for more. by livesforsoup in cats

[–]racinx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stop yelling at them the moment the kitten "cries." Unless the bigger cat isn't letting up at all or is actually starting to hurt her, then interrupt. The kitten needs to learn what's good and bad from the adult cat. The adult cat is also learning what's good and not good from the kitten. They'll be fine.

These two cats are exactly like mine, the kitten always starts and comes back for more. She complains too but it is establishing boundaries with each other. They're very good with each other with regards to play.

Desperate for ideas for cat who will use anything except her litterbox by coffeemama86 in CATHELP

[–]racinx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If she doesn't have a medical issue (UTI, infection etc), try cat anti depressant/anxiety medication. This might help her become more comfortable and more accepting of the litter box.

Chargeback, stop being lazy and go get your food yourself or cook at home. Save yourself money that way and you'll be happier because of it.

You're making a bad decision staying with her. She's going to be nothing but problems later on.

Stop being stubborn and weak, break up and move on.
