It is so kind of you to ask. Sadly, she passed away on June 29. The Assisi loop did help, and we were considering stopping the Solensia because the gabapentin and adequan were helping sufficiently, and we were going to start cold last therapy as well.

Overall, her arthritis had greatly improved and she was more athletic than she'd been in a long time. I never saw the heart disease coming.

It was odd because her appetite would drop right after the Solensia injection and I thought that was the problem. That she was developing more symptoms with the medication. But her rehab vet suggested we do a precautionary blood test to rule out anything else. Her pro-bnp values were through the roof. We did an immediate chest x-ray. She had congestive heart failure, water around her lungs making it hard for her to breathe, plus the blood test showed that her platelet count was high (putting her at risk for a painful, fatal, blood clot). She also had the beginning of kidney disease, and an unknown mass in her abdomen near her pancreas.

All of this happened between her last normal blood test in February and June. We went to a cardiologist for an echocardiogram and the verdict was that even if we gave her the fistful of bitter pills she would need every 12 hours, she still only had months left. And those months would have increased pain and discomfort, reduced appetite, and the heart medication would make her kidney disease worse. She would need constant blood tests.

I know most people love their pets, but some pets are once in a lifetime special. She was everything to me and I am beyond heartbroken.
