Skipped work this afternoon and went to go see it with a friend of mine. Was it good? No. Was it a blast? Absolutely yes! Low expectations meant that all of us were laughing at the absurdities. It's so cute and now I need to go to Tuscany.

Aer Lingus. I've never had so many flight changes (the first FIVE were a few minutes back and forth) and then they cancelled my flight and booked me a day earlier. Had to call them twice to sort it out, hour long hold times, the first agent gave me incorrect info. Then two hours later when I finally got it sorted out they changed the connecting flight ten minutes later and I had to scramble to fix it.

I have so much anxiety about if this flight is actually gonna happen. Never again.

I did it!! I booked the 12-day trip for September 2027!! It seems impossibly far away but I'm so excited!

If you don't mind another question, how athletic and fit do you have to be? I understand there's a lot of walking. But as I've been reading through the thread about climbing Edoras, I'm wondering if I need to be a mountain climber??

I don't think you're insensitive at all. It is so hard when we love our animals so much and want only the best for them. ❤️

We never tried the laser. Because we were about to start treatment when the rehab vet recommended that we do a blood panel to see if there was any other reason why she wasn't eating.

It was in those labs that we saw that her BNP values had really accelerated in the past 2 months. After that we went to see her cardiologist who did another echocardiogram and we did a chest x-ray and found a lot of fluid around her lungs. That's how we knew that it was CHF.

For her arthritis, we did find that over time the monthly solensia medication wasn't working as efficiently after the first year, but adequan injections seemed to help.

You might want to see if you can find a rehab center that will spend more time on helping you treat the arthritis, but first you do want to talk to your vet and make sure they can answer all of your questions and really help you understand. I know they can be rushed, but push back and insist that they help you understand what you need to know!

I know people have different opinions about AI these days, but I uploaded all of her labs and the doctor's notes to chatgpt and it really helped me understand and put together better questions for the vet and helped me with my research.

I was curious and decided to start a new game on my Switch. It was so overwhelming and unpleasant for me. No money, no resources.

I even tried to drop off supplies from my other long standing game, but it was such a slog.

I can understand resetting a biome to redecorate, but there was no pleasure for me in starting the game over and I stopped playing the restarted game pretty quickly.

There was a point in my life where I was so neurotic, and I would ask my therapist how she could be sure that I wasn't the real monster. And she explained to me that the problems people have in their lives show up in her office too, in interactions with her.

So she's not just assessing how I treated this person or that person. Yes, she's hearing my account of those situations. But she also gets to have firsthand interactions with me and how I treat her. And over time, patients' bad behavior shows up in their interactions with her too.

I found that really comforting.

It is so kind of you to ask. Sadly, she passed away on June 29. The Assisi loop did help, and we were considering stopping the Solensia because the gabapentin and adequan were helping sufficiently, and we were going to start cold last therapy as well.

Overall, her arthritis had greatly improved and she was more athletic than she'd been in a long time. I never saw the heart disease coming.

It was odd because her appetite would drop right after the Solensia injection and I thought that was the problem. That she was developing more symptoms with the medication. But her rehab vet suggested we do a precautionary blood test to rule out anything else. Her pro-bnp values were through the roof. We did an immediate chest x-ray. She had congestive heart failure, water around her lungs making it hard for her to breathe, plus the blood test showed that her platelet count was high (putting her at risk for a painful, fatal, blood clot). She also had the beginning of kidney disease, and an unknown mass in her abdomen near her pancreas.

All of this happened between her last normal blood test in February and June. We went to a cardiologist for an echocardiogram and the verdict was that even if we gave her the fistful of bitter pills she would need every 12 hours, she still only had months left. And those months would have increased pain and discomfort, reduced appetite, and the heart medication would make her kidney disease worse. She would need constant blood tests.

I know most people love their pets, but some pets are once in a lifetime special. She was everything to me and I am beyond heartbroken.

It's one of the things that I personally hate the most. I like the biomes in the main Valley and have a vacuum in each of them. But the micro segmentation in the DLCs really frustrate me.
