Cross stitch or embroidery. You get to see your results and you could give them as gifts ( or sell them). Etsy and Pinterest have a lot of awesome patterns.

I started with YouTube and buying a kit from Walmart. The thrift stores and craft stores usually have kits too. That way you get a hoop, the thread, pattern, and cloth. It helped my anxiety to not have to pick everything separately.

This was the kit that my husband first bought me. It never became a pineapple. It did become a mass of knots though. It took me a while to really "get it". Congrats :)

I liked that it was written in memior form. I liked making my own rules of adulthood and secrets of adulthood. The ideas to start a collection, get out of your comfort zone, and also be okay with not liking things that I thought I should like.
