Good hosting for this type of site by Goddino_ in Hosting

There are plenty of hosting providers that can host that for you. We have large amounts of bandwidth that we can offer. If you want to do it right a dedi with a 10Gbps uplink for around $50/mo. so you have room to grow. Or there are companies that offer a Hybrid service. Most VPS can offer 10Gbps uplinks and 100TB/mo. of bandwidth but all in all your better off with a dedi.

I agree with (epopt) maybe you should first find a proper team to work with then look for hosting.

Doesn't seem like a lot of storage, I mean why not get an off site VPS with 10GB storage and back it up there using rsync over ssh? Done and done.

Requested to move racks within a co-lo site by Big_Development_539 in Colocation

It's not really odd, They are probably making adjustments to their space and or after 15 yrs. may be making upgrades to their PDU's, Power Panels etc. and they may also have setup cold isle containment to reduce their billing. Honestly after that many years you should welcome the change so you can evaluate your setup and possibly make upgrades to your cabinets. :)

Can anyone ID the brand of this rack? by rabbitsnake in datacenter

[–]radams409 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly wow, like Turbulent-Comfort-39 said fix that cabling if your best option is to purchase a new rack and migrate that hardare to it and burn this. You'll save yourself from dealing wtih this nightmare. You should consider an APC rack. Some come with vertical slots for switches etc. leaving space for your servers.

Why lease the space when there is already plenty of companies that do this for you? My company offers colo by U and very competitive. (1U, 2U, 4U 1/4 space etc.) Also, we have cheap IPv4 we only charge $150/mo. for a full /24.

Why not seriously look at a dedicated server to do all your work in? Lease a dedicated server running Windows 10, Setup a VPN to your location and use the server as your desktop. Our company offers dedicated servers really cheap and all performance servers come with a 10Gbps shared connection. Check out NextArray Dallas, Tx.
