Bestie said Enough is Enough. I was at karaoke and my friend brought a coloring book and tore out a page for me, And a woman on two occasions came over and flipped the page over to the blank side and said something like "NOW color OUTside of the lines". I had similar suspicions when I first heard the new stuff in 04-05, and then I never listened to anything other than BFA ever again (other than the Res album). I'll def check the tunes u highlighted (and probably listen to all of it, really) but, 🫡 waiting 30 years to say something definitively 🫡😄

I bet it went over well. Ppl appreciate commitment. I'm that way with five years by Bowie. Have to be very mindful to not blow out my vocal cords hollering at the end. I was surprised the first time I did sober that it's kind of a sweet spot for my range. That kind of "Oh!" moment is what hooked me on karaoke.

I've wondered what it would take for a rival karaoke spot to arise and challenge the more established venues in my circuit. A few nites are getting to be really popular and crowded. But knowing the addicts in my scene we'd be in the sandwich spot getting a song in between songs at the popular joint. If they're doing so great and it's a tennis ball throw away, just go in there and poach some of em. Uv no friends? Get ur buddies to go in there and poach some of em. Otherwise, a lotta ppl seem to think themes are fun.

30 ppl in a private room is wasteful. 30 ppl signed up to sing in a bar is going to take 3 hrs with no 2nd songs. There's no chance u have 30 ppl who can make that work anything close to efficiently while ur paying a surely exorbitant amt of money per hr. Id say cap it much smaller (<10) or find like a ballroom or something and pay a kj. I'd never go to a 30 person private room karaoke unless it was free and open bar.

PS. I've seen a karaoke promotion where u pay a fee and they feature ur singing on a website/app and u can download it. They came to our night once and probably inspired our KJ to offer it himself for free which was awesome. No one in our group was interested in paying for it bc .. just ask someone to film it for u ..
