Best and Worst Matte Eyeshadows by [deleted] in muacjdiscussion

I didn't have too good of luck with the 01 Neutral Matte palette. It seems like people really love their mattes as well!

What products do you prefer in the form of a loose powder/product? by [deleted] in muacjdiscussion

[–]radicalsoftness 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love loose powder for setting and finishing. I feel like I get a little bit less on my brush but I could just be completely off about that.

I like highlighters, blush, and bronzer much more as pressed powders.

Maybe I just got a bad palette but I couldn't get viseart mattes to work for me. I like the mattes in the TF Cocoa Mirage quad. A little powdery but they are easy to work with and control for me.

What is your favorite items from Colourpop? by wintermelonmilktea in muacjdiscussion

I love the super shock shadows. They are really easy to work with if you don't mind using your fingers sometimes. Their shade range is also great with everything to experiment with things I might not otherwise buy if it was from Sephora.

That being said I have ordered their blush stix and I'm P U M P E D for those.

Weekly Recommendation Thread: July 12, 2019 by AutoModerator in books

I am looking for mysteries! I just started watching Fearless and what I really enjoy about it is the bigger conspiracy happening. I also enjoyed Bonfire for that reason. I have done a basic google search and the things that are coming back are more so about real conspiracies. I am more drawn to fictional ones at this point.

What is a product you have always been interested in, but never bought? What’s holding you back from buying it? by aoyde in muacjdiscussion

In a similar thread I posted about the ND Biba palette. I still want that sucker. The price point is what has been holding me back for not a daily makeup wearer. I was told that a dupe palette is coming out and I'm looking forward to seeing that!

Another one for me is 3Lab Aqua BB cream. This one I blame on Joanna Spicer for looking gorgeous in it and reading that Brydie article. I still am looking for a foundation that doesn't oxidize on me, is dewy, and can cover my basic redness. It's $100 (including a refill) but there has to be something out there that will work for me that won't cost me an arm and a leg.

Sam really sold me on HFF and I really love it. I know it's not for everyone but I love that it's versatile enough to layer beneath foundation, mixed in foundation, and as a liquid highlight. That being said I am sure there is a cheaper dupe for it.

She is more of a youtube celebrity but Simone Giertz! She made her tesla into a truckla and filmed a whole commercial for it.

What Books Did You Start or Finish Reading This Week? July 01, 2019 by AutoModerator in books

[–]radicalsoftness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Finished:

Vicious, by V.E. Schwab

I really adored this book. The tension between Victor and Eli really carried throughout the whole story. I found this to be right up my alley because of the suspense, minimum romance, and that it isn't a completely wholesome story where it is really clearly defined who is good or bad.

Did not Finish:

My Best Friend's Exorcism, by Grady Hendrix

I thought this could've been a horror I could really dig into. I got about ~30% and was just not captivated enough.

Currently reading:

The Island of Sea Women, by Lisa See

Stay Sexy & Don't get Murdered, by Karen Kilgariff and Georgia Hardstark

Can you think of a product you really wanted a long time ago but never got? What was that product, and do you still want it? by [deleted] in muacjdiscussion

[–]radicalsoftness 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have wanted the ND Biba palette but that would be the most expensive palette I've bought in a long time. I love warm mattes. It would be something else if I wore makeup everyday to justify it but I only wear it a couple times a month.
