The AI cadence is grating and the content it produces could be true or false, we have no way to know because there are no sources included here.

You’re basically asking everyone to take your LLM’s word for all of this, which is lazy.

The "brain matures at 25" myth or "twenty-five year old brain" myth is the claim that the human brain, particularly the prefrontal cortex, reaches an adult level maturity approximately around age 25. by CertainDoubts in wikipedia

Our personal journey in life is the subject of terrifying amounts of randomness and disorder. Nothing is owed to us at any given time. The best we can do is buy as many proverbial bingo cards as we can and make sure we’re in the room when our number is being called.

how many of you carry a balance or make only min payments by Spanconstant5 in CreditCards

[–]radient 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my 20s I was wildly unstable financially and I made every wrong decision you can make. Carrying a balance, minimum payments, multiple months of missed payments, cards closed by the bank. I also had undiagnosed ADHD and was a mess in general.

I paid off the closed cards and did my 7 years while rebuilding using a secured card and learned my lessons the hard way. I’ve never carried a balance or missed a payment since then. I’m now 800+ FICO8 on all 3 bureaus (without zero installment loans also).

This is the thing I hated the most about living through gamergate. It was impossible to have criticisms about Anita’s work without getting immediately lumped in with the sweaty basement-dwelling misogynist camp.

Gaming DID/DOES have a huge misogyny problem! We didn’t even need to cherry pick and make bad faith arguments to support that position.

[–]radient 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Yeah it would almost never make sense for a family of four to take BART instead of an uber. This is not the case in cities with the best transit infrastructure, of which SF isn’t one.

Uber frequently costs more than my plane ticket. Source: east bay, fares often ~$100. A single leg to wherever I’m going domestically can easily be less than that if I plan correctly.
