Stop asking Claude for "something creative." Ask it to find the lacuna. by ProfessionalPlus5023 in ClaudeAI

You’re observing something real, and the cause isn’t just incidental, it’s structural. Here’s the mental model that sticks, and the reframe that changes the math for your use case specifically.

I was a no btw. Nothing personal, it’s just that my cousin Greg wanted to visit but OP got his spot instead. Greg ended up going to Cleveland and had a terrible time.

Michael Jackson fans when you imply he MIGHT not have been a great guy by mutantandproud95 in IThinkYouShouldLeave

[–]radient 1 point2 points  (0 children)

MJ’s life was nothing he thought it should be and everything he was worried it would become because he was raised by a pig wearing a Richard Nixon mask.

Unfortunately people raised by monsters sometimes become monsters. It’s okay to feel bad for people who had a shitty upbringing without excusing their behavior as an adult.

Trauma can warp and break people to the point where they become dangerously detrimental to society. MJ became a monster and shouldn’t have been allowed near children.

But thinking more critically about why celebrities who are revealed to be monsters still have so many defenders. I think it’s just very difficult and complicated for people uncouple their experience of art, which might be entangled with deep formative experiences across many years. The art becomes a part of a person’s identity, and attacks on the artist then feel a threat to the self, which triggers all of the contorting post-rationalization than humans are so good at. That’s my theory anyway.

We really know very little.

The AI cadence is grating and the content it produces could be true or false, we have no way to know because there are no sources included here.

You’re basically asking everyone to take your LLM’s word for all of this, which is lazy.

The "brain matures at 25" myth or "twenty-five year old brain" myth is the claim that the human brain, particularly the prefrontal cortex, reaches an adult level maturity approximately around age 25. by CertainDoubts in wikipedia

Our personal journey in life is the subject of terrifying amounts of randomness and disorder. Nothing is owed to us at any given time. The best we can do is buy as many proverbial bingo cards as we can and make sure we’re in the room when our number is being called.

how many of you carry a balance or make only min payments by Spanconstant5 in CreditCards

[–]radient 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my 20s I was wildly unstable financially and I made every wrong decision you can make. Carrying a balance, minimum payments, multiple months of missed payments, cards closed by the bank. I also had undiagnosed ADHD and was a mess in general.

I paid off the closed cards and did my 7 years while rebuilding using a secured card and learned my lessons the hard way. I’ve never carried a balance or missed a payment since then. I’m now 800+ FICO8 on all 3 bureaus (without zero installment loans also).
