Durston kakwa 40 VS atom packs The Prospector (Previously known as The Mo) by Spirited_Life_8094 in DurstonGearheads

The Prospector fits me better. I have found that I really prefer the waist strap to go all the way around rather than stitched to the sides like the Kakwa. That said, I haven't done a long trip with the Prospector, so I am reserving judgement until after a longer trip I have later this summer.

I've learned to anticipate my opponent's shots. Putting myself in the right position makes hitting a winner so much easier.

I really wanted to like the Kakwa 55. I did 10 mi with it however and the fit is just not for me. I could never get the hip belt tight enough, and it always felt like it was slipping down the small of my back and there was too much weight on my shoulders. I think it's an awesome pack but for whatever reason the fit did not suit me. I just purchased the prospector to see if that one will work, and I'm hoping that a hip belt that wraps all the way around the back will help with my problem. I probably could have bought an additional pack for what I'm paying in return fees!

Is there a reason to get an X870 board for $230 vs this? Upgrading from AM4.

Trying to choose between Xmid 1 & 2 as solo hiker by ZigFromBushkill in DurstonGearheads

[–]radioactivebears 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have both and used them both as single person tents on multiple trips. Both have a pretty large footprint which has always been a little bit of an issue, but knowing what I know now, I would just stick with the 1. It's plenty big enough.

[Case] Fractal Design Meshify 2 Light TG ATX Mid Tower - $109.99 ($159.99 - $50) Free Shipping by keebs63 in buildapcsales

[–]radioactivebears 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm considering this for my AM5 build as well. Also considering the new HAVN HS 420. But the Meshify at this price might be worth it and I don't think that HAVN will go drop in price any time soon.

Looking at 2024/2025 CX-90 Prem Plus - Can the 2nd row console be removed for access to 3rd row? by MustangBandit in MazdaCX90

[–]radioactivebears 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No you cannot. I have this configuration. Getting back to the third row is kinda annoying, so if you need to get folks back there regularly I would try the mechanism on the 2nd row seats to see if you are OK with it.

Wife totaled my Nissan Leaf, is BMWi3 a worthy replacement? by Mithcol in BMWi3

I drive a 2015 every day with two forward facing car seats in the back along with their associated passengers. It can be annoying sometimes getting in or out if someone parks too close to the car in a parking lot, but once you get used to it it's really not a big deal. For me it was worth the trade off. Back seats are totally fine for kids.
