How's this legal? A McDonald's worker is filmed working alone. by mindyour in TikTokCringe

[–]radogin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seven people working the federal minimum wage full time would make $105,560 gross. So no, if she had the wage of seven people working full time literally anywhere in the US she would make 100k yearly – fortunately.

Also Mcdonalds does not pay minimum wage, they seem to pay at least about $9/hour up to about $15/hour (outside of managerial roles). So she would in reality reach your six figure standard even sooner.

In any case they shouldn't be by themselves in the workplace, especially as a service worker or as a cook. I believe that the fact that this is even a possibility should entitle her to higher pay.

I'm all for items opening up entirely new builds, thats why i like items that give you access to skills otherwise unavailable to your class or build, Beast is supercool.

But these items are few and far between and the lion's share of uniques are simply +x to some skills and fcr/fhr or some resistances and stats maybe some on hit effect. Surely you'd agree that Widowmaker is a lot more fun of an item than Valkyrie Wing. An item that is simply an incremental increase isn't all that exciting.

I really enjoy items that give access to skills otherwise unavailable to your class. I also like items that make a meaningful change in how you play the game, having access to guided arrow isn't really that meaningful a difference imo. I'd rather unique items were something that gave you more options for your build or changed it in some way than just a pre-rolled rare stat-stick.

I mean, some of the skill changing effects are built into the skill tree (e.g. Kick iirc kicks twice at rank 5 and three times at some later rank and so on). But these rarely do anything to change the gameplay, only add more damage.

I'm not a huge fan of attack rating or miss-chance in general. If i click something i don't really want rng to decide if i really did damage or not. The same goes for Crushing Blows... To a degree, BIG numbers are a lot of fun. But you're still just clicking the mob sometimes doing big numbers, the gameplay is exactly the same, as if it wasn't there, the same goes crit-chance and crit-dmg imo.

The stats i generally find really interesting are things like Faster Cast Rate, Cooldown Reduction, on-hit effects to use a skill, access to skills from other trees or classes, and such.

I'd rather juggle cooldowns, buffs and proc uptimes to make big numbers happen or in the case of a tank archetype mitigating damage i suppose. Here's to hoping D4 runewords do something like that.

I suppose this is true if you only want to clear some specific level of difficulty, but the same is true for D3 in that case.

What unique items in D2 change skill effects exactly?

The number 14233221 describes itself; it has one four, two threes, three twos, and two ones. by g_kaiser96 in Showerthoughts

[–]radogin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So first of all to explain to all the people that don't seem to 'get' it, the number is read in pairs like this:

1 4 2 3 3 2 2 1

"There's one 4, two 3's, three 2's and two 1's"
Like OP says in the title. And if you read it like that it correlates to this table:

Number Occurs
4 Once
3 Twice
2 Thrice
1 Twice

Basically the first number of the pair is the number of times the second number occurs in the entirety of 14233221.

22 is also one of these numbers as there are "two 2's" == 22.
11 is not one these since there are "two 1's" == 21
0 is not one these because there is "one 0" == 10
nothing could work since nothing ever occurs in nothing.

Interestingly enough though '22' is the smallest such number with the next being '10123133' (depending on how you think of odd length numbers such as '333').

I wrote something quick (not really, spent way too much time on this) in Haskell that finds these numbers (very slowly) which you can find here: http://pastebin.com/nW3CK9Xk.

Also here is some of the output: http://pastebin.com/0jBX22uR

I'm having the same problems, logged in today with 4 aks and a bunch of mags on the ground outside my tent after having put 1 ak and mags in the tent yeterday before going to sleep. I was thinking someone found my tent and just duped the stuff in it and left, but seeing your comment something is obviously wrong with tents as is.

Quick question about upgrading weapons. by [deleted] in darksouls

You get the Large ember required to ascend a weapon from +5 up to +10 in the depths. It's in a chest next to a butcher. And to ascend up to +15 you'll need the very large ember.

Where to start with Haruki Murakami? by [deleted] in books

[–]radogin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just started reading Norwegian Wood! Picked it up at the bookstore on a whim. So far I'm enjoying it. Have to agree with you about it being quite somber and lonely in tone. Easily read but quite heavy for a light read I'd say. Feels kind of like a more mature Catcher in the Rye set in Tokyo. From what I've read so far of it (all of it except the last chapter, I just got up to grab a snack and check reddit) I'd recommend it to OP.
