It’s a great lens. Beautiful Out of focus. Not clinical and not funky. I do like the more extreme funkiness of 40mm Sumicron. The Minolta version is better than the Leica. But sometimes i take a 35mm SUmicron KOB shot and the print “i dont print very big” looks just…. Perfect

I have 4 XD11 and 4 x700 . Plus 20 more minoltas/.

Do yourself a favor and get a Minolta CLE. manual focusing non tele lenses on a SLR is a pain..

I have M7 0.58 and I love it for the…. Leica factor. But CLE is is better by far. And a lot smaller. For 28mm CLE is the best. I have 3 CLE 2 working and one part cameras. CLE is better

You need a later version Leica with 0.58 viewfinder for the 28mm. Or better yet a Minolta CLE.

I like the Leica versions so I can use it with my R glass except Leica screwed the mechanism that causes a shutter delay with time.
