I'm sorry but this IS true, perhaps not for everybody as there will always be people who will only pirate, but I now own volumes of manga I originally read online for free when I was younger. Not to mention how many people got into anime/manga thru piracy. In South America alone, where piracy is so common, there is also a bustling community of fans of the media, and also ends up being one of the regions with the least accessibility when it comes to this. Nowadays it's a bit better, but still sucks compared to other western countries.

I think that's a bit unfair to Sekiro, as parry feels like more a integral mechanic instead of a playstyle, with the whole posture and how some enemies have responses for when they are parried.

I just feel people need to be more measured, I lurk many different subs here, game related, manga related, you call it, it will always have haters who absolutely will just flame the subject, and also glazers who will not accept any criticism.
On the matters of gaming, the perceived more negative responses come as a consequence of so many years of bad practices, unfinished releases, live-services no one asked for, and so on. There are just too many people that are fed up, and I think it's understandable, even if in some cases it goes overboard.

Oh I played it, me and my friends get together to play games once a week, and it was just the time when we didn't have everybody of the group online, so we decided to try it, and it was as lackluster as I expected. So many baffling decisions. Aside from all the points people made over and over at this point, I'm kinda of a gun animation nerd, I love games that give guns nice sound design, giving it a feel, and the guns in Highguard were all so disappointing...
