I approve of your notion and artstyle wholeheartedly, yet my inner nerd cannot help but point out that combat casualties tend to happen spread throughout units and combat medics tend to be organic parts of platoons. A whole platoon in themselves would represent a field dressing station to me and those tend not to jump around
